"We went there in order to go to the tanjung rhu beach without having to pay outrageous big hotel prices. Location was a scooter away from the 3 beaches (5-15 minutes) So worked out great! vehicle is a necessity there though! We went when super busy, so no scooters were available at the time, but i called in advance, so just rented at the southern part of island, and drove it there.
