During our five weeks in South America last May, 2017, we got to try the most exotic fruits we've ever tasted! Being from Hawaii, I loved the maracuya (passion fruit), which came in multiple varieties, some even purple and pink like the one you see in this photo! They have a delicious sweet/tart flesh with lots of seeds (that are edible). "Great 'farm' hotel in rustic style and in quiet environment. We liked the food, home made (including the bread for the breakfast!), the service (half hour horse riding for the entire family was included in the room price), and the rural setting of the hotel overall. The swimming pool was warm, filled with volcan hot spring water. One comment: signing on the road is not really clear, especially if you arrive by night. Road from Ibarra (approx. 45 min) is in good condition and safe."
