"Great one night stay in an eclectic hotel."

"We try to be positive but sometimes ….. Room was disappointing, with vinyl on the floor, cheap curtains and cramped toilet. Shower tiles grouting dirty. Toilet kept running after flushing. Bed springs could be felt. Flashing light in stairway/hall could provoke a fit. The pictures look fine, the reality is very different. Would not return. A good Campanile is better and cheaper."

The village with its castle is very run down with a large derelict hospital, numerous closed hotels and empty shops, but still worth a visit as a stop over."

"Good value hotel with nice restaurant, the hotel fronted on to a busy road which might be a disturbance for those guests at the front, but we were at the side/rear. Facilities in the bedroom were good. It is on the edge of town so it is quite a walk to the town/village centre, but a pleasant place to stay."
