This is a special, cozy hotel with loads of log cabin decor. It was clean and nice with great water pressure and a great bed. The hotel has a small snack store and bar as well as an indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub that were open late. We only stayed one night but it was very nice and close to great restaurants. I'll stay there again for sure next time we are in Des Moines, Iowa.

Clean room, great staff, good breakfast choices! My girls (and their friends) and I stayed 2 nights. They are all 13-14 years old. This is our 2nd stay there in the last year, and we love it. Definitely recommend this place! Great location close to shopping, restaurants, gas stations, etc. This has become our go-to place to stay when we're in the area.

This is our go to hotel…price is always great, get a voucher for a free drink, hot tub is amazing and their breakfast is always tops…this time they were renovating so banging going on, hot tub down and at breakfast the waffle maker broke and sausage was spoiled. We will go back and hopefully will be all up and running in their newly renovated domain.

Let me start by saying that the staff was great. The hotel was/is under some construction with updates so there were some inconveniences that are just unavoidable when you have construction going on. The staff was great though and our room was so clean and spacey. It was perfect for the event we have traveled for and when we had forgotten an item, the staff was incredibly kind and took care of mailing it back to us. We are so grateful for that!

Love the overall atmosphere. Staff is super friendly and everything is nice and clean, even while under renovation. The only 'complaint' I have is the rooms need overhead lights. Overall it was pretty decent. Hotel definitely needs a few upgrades and remodeling but still pretty good overall. We had a room with a whirlpool tub in it. We were glad to utilize that as the hotel was pretty full and there were a lot of people and kids in the pool and hot tub. The room was bug. Even for being wheelchair accessible it was pretty darn big. Which was nice. People congregating outside the room in a general sitting area were a little loud until 11pm or after but thankfully must have went to their rooms after that. Breakfast was pretty good. Overall would rate about 8/10 given the in-room whirlpool tub and price point being a fair amount cheaper than other hotels.
