The room was beautiful and clean. Way larger than we had expected. Stayed on the way home as an overnight pit stop and definitely will be returning. Two separate buildings was nice for less foot traffic and quiet. The front doors were only unlocked using our keys which made it feel very safe.

Our room was on the lower level and a few doors from the indoor pool so we felt the room was musty and not cleaned well as we found broken balloon pieces on top of the tv console and behind the tv. There was no phone in the room, in case of contacting front desk. The hotel should update their decor. Staff was pleasant for the short time we stayed.

This is a special, cozy hotel with loads of log cabin decor. It was clean and nice with great water pressure and a great bed. The hotel has a small snack store and bar as well as an indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub that were open late. We only stayed one night but it was very nice and close to great restaurants. I'll stay there again for sure next time we are in Des Moines, Iowa.

Location was easy to get to. Check-in was quick. Some items in the room could have been cleaner. Wish I would have known before that the fireplace in the room was shut off due to the “off season” and it being a fire hazard.
