Very nice property that appeared to be well-maintained. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and the linen was fresh. The area around the hotel is great with plenty of dining and shopping.

The room: hairs on he bed, on the backsplash of the vanity, dirty floors, very old interior doors, no hooks to hang the towels in the bathroom, the hair dryer was broken, the luggage bench had old food splattered all over, weeks of dust accumulated on the lamps.

For the value it’s a good bargain. Would have liked more than 2 towels and would have been nice if there were some real breakfast items instead of store bought cold items or high sugar processed foods.

I was good. I just needed a location in Des Moines/ Ankeny from which to run a couple of errands. It served the purpose. A clean room, a good bed, wifi and pet friendly is all I require.

Dents and bargains

The room was a little stuffy until we turned on the AC but that did work well. There was a giant dent in the wall behind the door where the handle had knocked in the plasterboard. Other than that it was a nice place for the $90 price.

Pleasant staff, found another persons clothes full in dresser and hair ties on bathroom floor. So did not make us feel comfortable that the room was cleaned well. Frozen eggo waffles for breakfast.

The ceiling in the bathroom had large breaks where you could see into the exhaust fan. The sink and vanity was a tiny space. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were flat. The hallways were lined with strips of carpet as the baseboard. The breakfast consisted of slices of bread you could toast, granola bars, and frozen waffles.
