The room was clean and spacious and the check in was easy! We were a little unsure of where the property was at night and the property is older. It was clean,spacious, and the view was second to none!

Beautiful view, lovely balcony. No direct access to the beach from here - but the drive to Fogarty Beach is moments away (driving to avoid crossing 101 on foot), and what a payoff! This is a gorgeous location, comfortable bed, and excellent view. The construction site around it is unsightly- but barely visible from the balcony. Absolutely recommend staying here.

Friendly phone assistance to open unit with REAL keys! Cleaning crew was very upset that we were still there at 11:30...although no checkout time was provided on info sheet. Very clean and good supply of towels and toiletries. Off a construction site...and cannot see until you pass all that construction. Took 3 attempts to find due to that "quirk".

The ocean view was amazing. No direct access to the ocean. The room is in need of a remodel. Bed are very firm and the shower pressure was bad.

Beautiful room, spacious and clean. We were on the bottom floor and heard the footsteps of those above us. The balcony was nice but the overgrown blackberry bushes obstructed our view a bit. There isn't a lobby or an office, but the staff over the phone were helpful. Overall nice place.

The view was wonderful; however we had lukewarm water in the shower, the fireplace unit didn’t work and another guest kept smoking on the balcony- so every time we went to sit on the balcony, it smelled like cigarettes. Also could hear the other room’s conversations and movements. Definitely not a $300 hotel, pretty disappointed, feel like I wasted my money.

Beautiful view No. Perfect view room was clean. No smells, no wierd vibe. I will be staying there again. My and other neighbors in the same building where that there was no access, walking distance to the beach itself. Only bummer. But the view made up for it. I thoroughly enjoy my stay. Absolutely amazing ocean view from the balcony. The view made up for other shortcomings. I had trouble reaching the offsite staff at the number provided by Expedia. Left multiple messages and I finally got a message in my Expedia inbox. My reservation said I would get the door code 24 hours prior to arrival, but upon reaching the said staff, they wouldn’t give me the code until 4 pm day of arrival. So I feel the communication was difficult or lacking. Turns out the Expedia provided phone number for Sunset Haven was wrong- not sure whose fault that was. The room was a bit outdated but fairly comfortable other than no AC. That would be a problem on warmer days. Again, the view may be best we’ve ever had.

The construction on the property is pretty unfortunate and a bad first impression. But then to go on to double book our room, get walked in on naked, and never get a call from the owner like promised with no solution was insane. No deadbolt should have been my first red flag. The instructions say to leave the extra key in the lock box since hello no front desk(also horrible) what happens if you get locked out, but to then have that be used against us and have my personal privacy violated as a 23 year old woman in a new place, I did not even want to stay here anymore. Also there is not actual beach access since the construction is blocking the old trail you have to drive or walk along the high way. Out dated for the price and situation.

Sunset Haven is a hidden gem and I’m afraid to write a good review for fear it’ll become popular and harder for me to book again!! There really aren’t amenities aside from the coffee in the room so that was hard to rate. It’s a cozy little place with only 12 rooms, gorgeous views, clean and lovely!! The construction that is mentioned in other reviews is offsite in a nearby lot. I believe a new hotel is being built (there was one there before). Hard to say if it’ll disturb future guests but it was fine when we were there. We will definitely be booking Sunset Haven again!!!

Didn't realize the property was unstaffed with a self check in. No other amenities on site other than the room itself. Beach access was a drive down the road and a long walk to the beach. 15 minutes in total, which was not convenient. Great views and a very nice room.

The windows were broken and didnt lock all the way and were hard to open and close because they were broken. The Fireplace didnt work and when called they said we were the 2nd ones to call about it, they arnt on site and could call someone local to look at it, checking in at 4pm it wasnt worth our time but it was very disappointing. The fan worked but in the middle of the night jolted us awake as it started making a terribly loud screetching noise with every spin. Had to turn it off for the rest of the stay. There was said to be stairs to the beach but there was construction and all access was fenced off, we were able to hop in the car and get to the beach within 4mins but then paid to park. We werent looking for anything super fancy we stay at the beach often and this was a clean room with a view but there a lot of things that need attention. Id probably look elsewhere until some upgrades have been made before looking to stay here again

Bedbugs! Hotel has an offsite receptionist and management. You have to call upon arrival to access the room number and code to unlock the lockbox keys adjacent to each room door. I booked the Luxury Room King w/Sea View, RM# 79. The room was spacious and appeared relatively clean with amenities including fireplace, balcony, and jetted tub. However, after getting ready to turn in for the evening I noticed small bugs moving around my peripheral and upon closer inspection, Bedbugs! I quickly collected the ones visible on the pillow into a ziplock bag - 5 total! I then called the emergency number to the hotel to report the findings and come to a resolution of a refund and a room relocation. Unfortunately, management was inaccessible and the receptionist - what sounds like a husband and wife duo (young children could be heard in the background while they passed the phone to one another) was unsupportive and recommended I contact the third party I booked the hotel through for a refund (Expedia). The lack of support was very frustrating and stressful due to the fact it was 11pm, I rode to the hotel on a motorcycle therefore didn't have a car to sleep in as a backup plan. I ended up virtual chatting with an Expedia representative who is now working with the hotel management to get me my refund. Unfortunately, due to the time of evening Expedia couldn't support another hotel booking in the area. So I called the first hotel I could find in Lincoln City for a confirmed walk-in vacancy.
