The grounds of the hotel are beautiful, like you're visiting a museum or temple. I only had 2 full days here but wished it could have been more. The rooms are awesome and far better than the pictures portray. My only complaints are the service at the restaurant (you have to track down staff to take your order or bring you the bill) and that the pool is on the smallish side.

There isn’t the space to compliment the attributes of the staff, the accommodation, the dining, the gardens, beach, cultural events,, … my only complaint is that the pillows are too big, but that really didn’t matter too much. I didn’t use them much.

We had a wonderful time staying at Tandjung Sari. We stayed two nights in a cozy village bungalow. It was very clean and spacious. The outside shower was a nice touch to our stay. It was refreshing to shower outside after being in the blazing sun. While we were in the room, a member of the cleaning staff came and cleaned our room. We watched the whole process and she was very polite and cleaned every single corner of the room. All staff were very friendly and professional. They loved to come talk to you. We enjoyed our conversations. We booked our afternoon tea service and chose Indonesian style. We only ate at their restaurant and their food was amazing. I especially loved the Tandjung Sari style rice porridge. It was the best! We cherished the magical moment of sharing a candlelit dinner on the stunning white sandy beach, with the stars shining brightly above us. Everything tasted fresh and organic. When we come back to Sanur, we will definitely choose to stay at Tandjung Sari again.

This is a nice old place, one of the very first boutique hotels in Bali. But fair warning; they are renovating one of the larger villas and the construction noise is ongoing from 9-5 Monday through Saturday. On account of this, we left earlier than expected. But if you're looking for a nice small place in Sanur and you don't get about noise, this is probably a good choice. Also, they support the local dancers, and have performances on Saturday night which are very worthwhile if you care at all about Balinese culture. Finally, note they are building a huge mall in this area, Icons, which is weird as this has traditionally been a low key area. So traffic is bound to get even worse in the future, which is the long term trend in Bali. I know as I"ve been coming since 1988

Stay started on the wrong foot as we had booked a beach cabin 9 months ago and we were taken to cabin 29 which was old, out dated and extremely disappointing. Prices for food and drinks is on the higher end which is also disappointing. After mentioning these items to the manager, he was quick to show us cabin 12, not near the beach, which I believe had been renovated, and was 100 times better than 29. The beach boardwalk is also very busy so getting further away from the noise was a blessing. We also received a discount on food and beverages, most likely because cabin 12 is cheaper than 29, but I appreciate the deal. Staff is amazing, always ready to assist and they get to know you by name! Staying down the beach at Maya Sanur for 1 night and we are missing cabin 12 and the staff! Maya Sanur is over rated, over priced, and a typical North American resort with no sole

This is a truly beautiful traditional hotel, beautiful Balinese bungalows hidden away with everything you need including largest bath ever!! Private and not over looked. Staff so lovely. All areas well kept and clean. Lovely gardens. Fantastic access to beach and just a stroll along beach to the Icon Mall and other restaurants (great for teens!) Restaurant fantastic. Food delicious. Great breakfast options. Pool great. Wish we could stay longer.
