I booked a room just for 1 night over 2 months in advance. The booking was confirmed by expedia. I booked the room for May 20, 2026. That morning I flew from Antalya, Turkey to Frankfurt, Germany. I had a train ticket from Frankfurt to Wroclaw, Poland for the following day. I carry a laptop with me. I do not have a smart phone. Without knowing anything I arrived at the hotel and was told I do not have a room and all the rooms in and around Leipzig are booked. When I arrived in Poland I found out I did get a email from expedia on May 20, informing me that the hotel can not honour my booking. I am 71 years old and had to spend the night at Leipzig train station. Thanks for nothing Goldener Adler. What a way to treat a customer.

Wir haben uns hier (in unserer ehemaligen Heimat) sehr wohl gefühlt. Zimmer sind sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Inhaber und Personal waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Frühstück ausgezeichnet. Es werden frische Eierspeisen zubereitet und Extrawünsche erfüllt. Das Hotel wurde gerade erst übernommen und neu eröffnet. Es befindet sich in der Altstadt von Delitzsch und fußläufig zum historischen Stadtkern und Schloss. Die beiden jungen Pächter bemühen sich wirklich gut. Einziges Manko: die Parkmöglichkeiten im hif sind sehr begrenzt.
