“Stayed for one night for work. The general hotel is nice as was the breakfast and the gym facilities. Staff were helpful at check in and out. The rooms are very dated and in desperate need of a refresh. I over looked the middle of the hotel so it was noisy at night. Has a lot of potential with a bit of a refresh.”

“Avoid a room above the bar because of the noise. I think it must get its 3 star rating from the rooms in the new areas. The food was very mediocre. For food I would recommend The Fox Hole which is around a 5 minute walk. The setting saved my stay because it was lovely to sit by the river. The staff were very nice.”

“We had a very comfortable stay. The room was very clean, the breakfast made to your order with additional cereal and juice available. The staff were very friendly and concerned about our needs. Car parking was provided at the back. The location was within walking distance from the town centre pubs and restaurant as well as next to a big Tesco. Perhaps the TV was a tad small. ”

Los cuartos son espaciosos y las camas son realmente cómodas, pero es decepcionante la limpieza, la tina estaba extremadamente sucia, en especial el desagüe, no es agradable bañarse en un lugar así. “The Wellington Heifer was a great choice for our overnight stop. The welcome was warm and relaxed, the room large, clean and comfortable, with a modern bathroom. The meal on the evening was of a very high standard, but accordingly priced. You get what you pay for, after all. The breakfast in the morning was promptly served and, again, of a high standard. The check out was as simple as handing the key to the bar staff. Well done to all at the Wellington Heifer for making our stay very enjoyable....
