Booked on the off chance for a last minute break and so glad we did. This is an absolute gem - comfortable, spotlessly clean and very charming. The staff were friendly and helpful. We wanted to stay longer but (unsurprisingly) the Royal was fully booked for the weekend. We’ll go back!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The location was excellent, with easy access to local attractions and restaurants. The breakfast was delicious and offered a great variety of options. Overall, the service exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and relaxing stay. I will definitely come back in the future.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights with our two little dogs. The staff were all very friendly and happy to help. The breakfast was to order and really nice. The location is superb being right on the beach. Ideal for a walk with the dogs. Will stay again in the future and happily recommend.

Large room and friendly lady checked us in. One thing to note is that dog friendly rooms don't have any dog items in them ( while not expected and we bring our own, most places provide dog bowls etc as a minimum). There were also dirty tissues left in the room on the floor when we checked in. The room had a fan which was appreciated as it was very, very warm. (We didn't visit during the heatwave). Bed was comfy enough, shower was a pipe lead from the bath taps with minimal pressure - does the job, but not great. Coffee and teas in the room were nice and a good selection. Despite not having a fridge, they provide cold fresh milk in a thermos for in room use which was nice. Breakfast was ok, the menu reads really nicely and a bit different to the usual breakfast menus, but taste wise was average. The service at breakfast was very good. We were glad to have secured a room when we needed one but personally wouldn't return.

Large room with view over the sea and pier. Old building close as you can get to the sea so plenty of interesting differences to a modern setup creating a unique character set up. Breakfast was excellent with great view of the beach sea. No issues with parking this time of year.
