While the check in was superb and the room was very clean, the breakfast could use a lot of work. There was a nice selection of teas but no water for it. The juice dispenser was out of order for how long. Where was the milk for the cereal? All in all, a very disappointing breakfast offering!

Room was spacious and very clean. Appears rooms were recently painted. No blankets on beds, just sheets, but requested blankets. Pool was being renovated so it was closed. Chose this hotel because it has a pool for our kids. Would be nice if this was advertised on Expedia, hotel website and posted when you check in so families are aware or can choose other options. Simple, but good continental breakfast.

Property was outdated, in disrepair and smelled of dust and mold. The room was missing furniture with no place to sit in the separate living area, with just a refrigerator and a tv. No chair or couch. When I complained, I was told they are “moving furniture around”. The bedroom had a bed and one side table, again no place to sit. While I was out for dinner an office chair was brought in. The lamps were broken and dirty. The bathroom did not have a trash can, had no toilet paper and mold in the bathroom with missing floor tiles. The front desk girl called the manager and I was told that I “could leave”. The room door would not close and had to slammed to get it closed. The pool and hot tub was drained permanently without notice of that on Expedia. I would warn anyone of this property! Terrible stay with terrible service. 0/10 stars. Do not recommend. See attached photos.

Disappointing Experience – Poor Management & Service ​I had a terrible experience at the Baymont in Spearfish. The property is poorly managed, severely lacking in basic maintenance, and had a generally uncomfortable atmosphere. A major selling point for us was the pool, but it does not work as advertised. ​The housekeeping and basic operations were completely unacceptable. After my first request, it took three full days just to get our room cleaned. When I requested cleaning a second time, the staff explicitly promised me it would be taken care of, but it was never done. At one point, I asked for clean towels and was told they hadn't even done the laundry, forcing me to go hunt down towels from the fitness area myself. ​To top it off, there were some highly questionable characters—who appeared to be employees—just wandering the hallways late at night, which felt entirely unprofessional and unsafe. I am incredibly disappointed and will not be returning.
