This historic house is beautifully maintained and the rooms are very comfortable. We had the attic room which is extra large and has an amazing spa shower. The proprietors took great care to prepare a wonderful breakfast each morning. Loved our stay at 1899!

The room we stayed in was a 127 years old. That was pretty cool. It was the old library room. The hosts were amazing. We had a great breakfast with two different couples and had a great conversation., would do it again in heartbeat.

The cottage was restful, charming, clean, airy, and comfortable. Our host was welcoming, informative, helpful. Our breakfast was delicious and it was so pleasant to share the table in the main house with other travelers. When we needed a few things for the house, help was swift in coming. We could easily have stayed longer!

The room was perfect, we were greeted by deer grazing outside the windows when we arrived. The owners are awesome and very knowledgable about the area, even gave us tips of things to do during our stay. The homemade breakfast was amazing, we will definatly make this our go to stay anytime we visit, thank you for making our trip a memorable one!!!!

The house is very beautiful. The only improvement that needs to be made is that in our upstairs room, the air conditioner was so loud it was like white noise every time it turned on. That was disruptive. The breakfast frittata was not warm and hard to cut into with a butter knife. It would have been easier to have the juices out with the coffee for self serve. Overall, we enjoyed the conversation at breakfast with the other travelers and the kindness of the staff.

Absolutely Stunning & the Place to be in Deadwood

I wish that I would have taken more pictures because as a part time history buff, I loved this place. We don't usually "bed n breakfast" but I was overwhelmed with the generosity of the owners and the loveliness of their home. They have certainly put their own hearts into this wonderful BnB. Beautiful, well preserved house with many beautiful antiques. Host was accommodating to our arrival time which was very appreciated and super friendly. We loved that we had 3 breakfast time options to choose from, too! There was a machine-type noise that seemed to come from under our bedroom that disturbed our sleep the whole night so that was disappointing because we were exhausted after having hiked for miles that day. Maybe offering a package of ear plugs for guests would solve that issue.
