For an old hotel we were impressed. Room was very clean, bed was comfortable and the shower was good. Breakfast choices were good, the service was fast and the food was cooked fresh. Only downfall was no elevator, making it hard to climb stairs with bad knees.

We loved this hotel, its a walkable area, we stay every year a couple times, and the staff are so nice. This time the hotel seemed a bit "tired" and needing attention - the platform bed loudly creaked, gardens full of weeds, tired overgrown pool deck landscaping, room chair badly stained, setee broken, hallway carpets dirty. The breakfast was terrific provided by the Mermaid cafe next door.
