We had a lovely stay at this hotel. It’s in a beautiful location with stunning views. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were all friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. The only downside was that our room was very hot. Although two fans were provided, it was still difficult to sleep comfortably. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

We were a little anxious about the stairs to our room, but when we saw the view it was worth it! But be aware, it is an old building and quirky, some low ceilings in bathrooms. Breakfast was great. Location is the best with bus stop nearby. Beds very comfy and room recently renovated. Had a delightful maid who put smiles on our faces (young with red hair, sorry don't have name, give her a raise!)

An excellent location to stay and discover Dartmouth and surrounding area. The Staff were 1st class, the room was clean and comfortable, breakfast faultless. All in all 9/10, St.Austell Brewery know how to provide vfm.

Stunning old hotel recently been refurbished. The best feature of this hotel are the staff, bar staff helpful. Breakfast staff are helpful caring and attentive. Big shout to the domestic staff so friendly, helpful definitely got to know rm21 loved oat cookies and shortbread.

Wonderful character hotel on waterfront with amazing history. Rooms well furnished and extremely comfortable beds. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the kitchen provided an excellent vegan breakfast as well. Only drawback is lack of dedicated parking which was fine in the off-season (winter) but would definitely become a challenge when the town is busy in summer.

I enjoyed my stay at the Royal Castle Hotel. The Hotel is warm, cosy and interesting with pleasant, responsive and helpful staff, a good bar and dining facilities and an excellent breakfast. Its setting is attractive and convenient for exploring the town and the area.

Breakfast excellent so it was confusing that the lunch menu and food was poor. Hotel looks lovely and staff were great. Small attic room up several flights of stairs and no lift to assist with heavy luggage resulted in sore backs!

Dog friendly beyond belief

What a lovely place to stay at whilst visiting Dartmouth. Convenient for food as well as a local drink. Breakfast was included and the dog was spoiled in the most dog friendly hotel i think we have ever stayed at.
