High standard centrally located

This is a high end hotel. Good size room with all you need. All staff were extremely polite, to a degree when it became almost annoying: "Good morning, how are you, is there anything I can do for you?". Unclear when the currency exchange office was open. Rich breakfast with lots of choices, including hot courses.

Every time we arrive in Tanzania we prefer to spend a few days in Serena just to relax after the long journey and before continuing our trip through the county. We know already a lot of people working there and when we arrive in the hotel it is just the same as coming home

The Serena Hotel in Dar es Salaam is pretty decent. The food and the amenities are exactly what you would expect from the Serena brand - Excellent. However, I believe a renovation of the building is long overdue.

The property was beautiful in an antique way. The check in process took far too long considering we were there much later than usual check in but they still didn't have a room ready. Other than that incident the staff was polite/helpful. The spa was absolutely lovely. I highly recommend the spa.

They did not have record of my reservation. Took abnormally high time to check in . Only 2 small drinking water bottles were provided as complimentary Charges too high for extra bottle of water. No tooth paste kit in the bathroom. Tub height too high.

Gute Lage, die wenigen Sehenswürdigkeiten können zu Fuß erreicht werden. Sehr aufmerksamer Service im Restaurant. Großzügige Poolanlage inmitten tropischer Pflanzen. Nachdem wir Wege einer Überbuchung des Hotels die von uns gebuchte Zimmerkategorie erhalten hatten, begann ein schöner Aufenthalt. Die Rezeption zeigte hier wenig Engagement das Problem schnell und kinderfreundlich zu lösen.

Been a visitor to this hotel for many years but this time the hotel had changed the executive lounge so much it is just a room.. no benefits of soft drinks or snacks ... have to pay for everything so no real benefit of booking such a room

The Serena Hotel Dar es Salaam is a great facility with very friendly and hospitable staff. The only recommendation I would offer is that they consider updating their mattresses. Mine was clearly tired. But so was I, so I was able to sleep nonetheless.
