This hotel exceeded our expectations! All the staff made our stay perfect in all regards. A big thank you to Sherife who really helped us to catch the ferry to Zanzibar. I don’t think we could have managed without her assistance. We’re from Australia and travelling the world on bicycles so very grateful for that. The food was outstanding and catered for my dietary requirements with no problem. Highly recommend staying here!

Took me a bit to figure out hot water, but it was then reliable. Restaurant at hotel served delicious food (Indian). Staff was accommodating when I had made a mistake in my reservation. Road construction on the street made transportation a bit tricky but was able to manage.

Dar es Salaam's best

I had a great stay. The hotel was clean. Everything was in good condition. The staff was awesome. The hotel is not far from the airport. If you wish to travel to Zanzibar, the hotel is in close proximity to the seaport. I recommend it to anyone.

I loved the proximity to airport and ferry. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was quite hearty. The only negative is the bathroom didn’t have enough towels. Only I bath towel and when I asked for more they brought 1 bath and said they had no hand towels. Overall a nice place for a one night layover.

I highly recommend this hotel CBD to anyone coming to Da Es Salaam. From Houston, Texas CBD was my home for like almost a week. Stayed here before taking a trip to Dubai and came back stayed at CBD again. The staff are the best and the restaurant is great and good food. Very clean hotel.. The hotel is very kool and not too much traffic and you get to have a good quality private time at the patios. Gonna stay here 3 different times this month of February .. CBD is gonna be my main spot when I visit Tanzania / Da Es Salaam

Room had a faint musk smell and surfaces were not very clean. They tried to put us in a room below what we paid, but once we complained, they moved us to a slightly better room. Had Indian Cusine dinner which was good. Not much more options for dining in the neighborhood. Noisy dirty dusty main road.

Location is really noisy, on one side busy dusty road and other side lot of construction work of overbridge. Cant dare to keep windows open. Room cleanliness bit issue as found small cockroaches roaming in the room. Wifi very slow, almost impossible to work. Just good part is their restaurant food.

A hotel for one night

The staff were pleasant and friendly. The hotel has a nice pool. There is nothing nearby, no restaurants at all. Because of the traffic taxis can take a very long time to get around. I walked everywhere but because of the heat and the poor state of the pavements which are often blocked by parked cars this can be tiring. The hotel has two restaurants. One is Asian, mainly Indian. It is not bad but no better than many Indian restaurants found anywhere in the UK. The second is a basic pizza place with poor food nowhere near as good as standard fast food restaurants. This restaurant is not too clean either, marks left from coffee cups or crumbs left from the earlier clients. The breakfast was just acceptable.

Old hotel. Water in the shower does not drain well and water fills up. Hotel lobby is super hot. AC does not work at all in the lobby. Restaurant sells cakes and pastries 5 days old for the same price as if it's fresh. They are so old, dry and smell chemicals. Staff started cleaning lobby snd restaurant in the morning with chemicals and those chemicals, the smell of them can be tasted in food as well. Horrible. The other misleading info hotel does is advertise half board or full board and when you book you assume meals included. But the catch is you have to spend no more then fifteen dollars per person for either lunch or dinner, and if you went over the price cap you have to pay difference. It's something that CBD hotel does not enclose in booking. It is Indian owned and operated hotel/restaurant and attention to details is zero

The staff and the food were amazing. The included breakfast was fabulous and all meals were beautifully cooked and presented. The only downside was that the location was on a very busy street with a lot of traffic. No interesting shops nearby. The very clean pool was an added plus. .
