Berry Hill Resort is a beautiful mansion steeped in rich Virginia history and elegance. We return several times each year to enjoy the country setting, the wonderful amenities and delicious meals in the restaurants and pub. This time we had the pleasure of seeing the huge beautifully lighted outdoor wedding venue and the wedding party enjoying the day-before festivities. Berry Hill is a perfect choice for a special cherished event or a quiet visit and a stroll around the mansion and grounds, swimming in the pool or exploring the mansion’s vibrant history.

Continental breakfast is very good. Facilities overall are as well. Nice having a casual yet very tasty restaurant on site just a few steps from the rooms. Roku TV will take some getting use to for me, as I don't stream thus very little options that are free.

This is a hidden gem, located in south-central VA, is not affiliated with a hotel chain or high end amenity program. As such, and as a single owner proprietorship, Berry Hill Resort still offers an extensive spa capabilities! But because of the “off the beaten path location”, has been forced to hire mostly local staff who were friendly but were probably not professionally trained. The menu & meals were excellent though & for the price of the room, it was an overall excellent experience!

The rumors will be rumors; “haunted” is not how I would ever describe this hotel, ENCHANTING is more appropriate. Between the rustic feel, the beautiful rooms, amazing staff and overall cozy southern hospitality feel it’s hard to describe just how pleasant our stay at the berry hill resort was. The tavern as well as indoor pool were magnificent and the bed/ room were extremely comfy and inviting. Excellent, fulfilling breakfast with SO much to do on the property. Would not only recommend for a romantic getaway but anytime treeing through southern Virginia as well!

The property is starting to show a little lack of maintenance. The is cracking paint on the outside, the EV chargers did not work (even after being assured when making reservations that they did), breakfast was not as good as past years we have been there. Staff was nice, rooms clean, just not as well kept up as when we were last there.

First of all, the dinner at the Mansion Restaurant was PHENOMENAL! We stayed in one of the suites and it was beautiful. The furniture and decor really took you back in time. The only small “issue” was there are not many plugs in the room, which wasn’t a huge problem. The staff was great, parking was easy, and the rooms were clean.
