Buyer beware

This “hotel” is a run down extended stay with very unsavory looking people milling about. I pulled in the lot and right back out. I didn’t feel safe staying here. The photos look nice but are very misleading.

Astoria West is a very basic property. It is not fancy. But it was clean and everything was in working order. It is one of the lower priced properties in the Danville area. we were only staying one night so it suited our needs.

This place is closed down. The only property available is the cheaper Astoria Extended stay across the street and the place is filthy.

Room was not clean.Shower drain was stopped up,when itold the front desk she said someone would be there at 11am to fix.They never showed up.Towels and wash rags had stains on them.Had to go get some from front desk.The ones i got were old hard and cheap.This place needs alot of work.especially houskeeping

Clean and OK for the price. Few little things need fixing in the room. Broken lamp shade and towel rack off the wall in the bathroom. Cleaner than we expected. Bed comfortable.

No one came to desk, could not find reservation, long wait to resolve, no place to hang clothes, stained tub, plumbing pipes exposed in shower, curtain rod broken, towel rack broken, ceiling over toilet bulging down ominously, towel on floor to suck up air conditioner leak, illegal s-trap in basin area, pool filled in and growing grass. And all for just $70 a night.

Everything I was expecting, a dump. Classic 50's motel, updated at some point and way past needing an update again. Pool filled with dirt, growing weeds. No maid service. Every night was doorbells in the steering wheel and loud talking outside my door or yelling across the parking lot. Bed was comfortable though.

the room door did not have a lock on it.The water in the bathroom kept running no way to turn it off. No phone in room to call the the front desk. Animal feeding bowl and food outside of our room. It appear to me this hotel is use to house the homeless a refugee shelter.

Disappointed.

Disappointing for the price we paid. The place was very dirty through the outside hallways. Looks like alot of people live there. The room did not meet our standard. One of the rooms did not have a blanket on bed. Overall not a good experience. will be going back.

Definitely not going again

I was very disappointed as you can see by the recent pictures I took. This is nothing like was posted online people above us on the second floor stayed up, half the night running across and banging on the ceiling. Hard to sleep bathtub did not seem to be cleaned at all. Toilet seat was loose. We did not receive any major linen service the two days that we were there.

Horrible Hotel

The hotel was not as described. The out door pool is nonexistent, its filled to the Top with dirt, there's no continental breakfast, the wifi only works in the front office, the Jakuzi tab doesn't work, the TV, half the channels don't work. Light sockets don't work, the refrigerator/freezer combo, the freezer was so frozen over you couldn't put anything in it. Very loud out side durring the night, made it hard to sleep, no inroom phone to call the front desk, plus all kinds of bugs in the room... i would Not recommend this hotel to anyone. The only good thing, was the few staff members were nice. It looks to be a family run hotel.

I've stayed at this location, in the past, however this time was not a pleasant experience. Checking room our room was changed without explanation and was quoted a different price then what was paid. The room we were assigned to reeked of cigarette, beer bottle caps and hair particles was all over the floor. There was a leftover marijuana paraphilia all over the bathroom floor. Even the outside was a trashy. Cigarette butts all over the ground in front of the room doors and in the outside stairwell. The receptionist was very nice and tried to assist as much as he could but it was only so much he could do. Not sure if the establishment is under new management but I definitely do not see us staying here again.
