“How is this a 3-star hotel - it’s absolutely lovely. The rooms are excellent: the room was clean, spacious, very comfortable. The garden is beautiful and surrounded by fields. Wonderful buffet breakfast There for a wedding - a series of room key blunders and double bookings made it hilarious but the staff were friendly and acted quick to adjust. Faulty Towers anyone ?”

“We were in an annex, not in the main hotel. The room was clean, but the space was very small with the 'bedroom' on a mezzanine floor. The roof sloped so much it was difficult not to crack your head on the ceiling. The bed was a small double. The towels were old and must have been washed using conditioner as they did not dry you after a shower. There was a beer festival on the weekend we stayed and the volume of the music outside was exceptionally loud and even inside the annex with the door and...

“Our stay at this hotel was very comfortable. All staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Our room was a standard room at the top of the house and it was very clean with a nice ensuite and a comfortable bed. The decor and furniture enhanced the room giving plenty of space to put our clothes and personal effects. Food was very good, we had a three course dinner and the food was delicious. “I’m not to sure why this place is so highly rated. The check in was abit of a joke, they wanted me to scan a code then fill all my details in first, which I didn’t realise I was paying a large sum of money to also do their job. The rooms were very dated and worn, constant sound of dripping I’d say the plumping needs sorting. Food I have no idea I didn’t eat there but apparently it’s good I also don’t agree having to put down an amount on check in incase of damage, considering the place looks...

“Had to pay for parking each night. Room was dated. No full English paid between £7-£9 pound for breakfast to find out that in the mornings it would be a toasties coffee and fruit to take away. The restaurant was only Indian food and empty and closed most of time. They did not say on website there is no bar. When we arrived they said it was a dry bar no alcohol! Would not book here again! Asked for wine glass got told we don’t usually hand out in case we steal it! Eventually they gave me a glass....
