The location is ideal, the staff were very helpful and friendly, the breakfasts were wonderful and the wine and cheese Happy Hour was beyond our expectations (almost did not need dinner afterwards!).

Beautiful and serene

Beautiful and serene location. Charming boutique hotel with excellent service, food and magnificent view of the bay at Dana Point. It is within walking distance to shops and restaurants but to get down to the beach it’s better to drive. Whale watching was wonderful.

The blue lantern is a beautiful property in an amazing location. The staff is extremely friendly and professional. Staycation for quiet get away. Beyond expectations and will be our only hotel in the future. Compared to big name hotels at 2.5 nightly rate this had better food, stone quiet peaceful rooms.
