Lovely homestay overlooking Sigiriya rock

We stayed 2 nights and had a great time - the owner & his family are so welcoming and helpful. The accommodation is not in the center of Sigiriya so you need a tuktuk to get to and from there. The accommodation is walking distance to Sigiriya rock, with a great view of it too!

Our stay at Sigiriya Rock Gate Resort was nothing short of exceptional. The Traditional Tree House Room, gracefully nestled high among the trees, offered breathtaking panoramic views of the iconic Sigiriya Rock, creating a truly magical and unforgettable experience. Waking up to the stunning scenery, surrounded by the tranquility of nature, was an absolute luxury. The room beautifully blended traditional Sri Lankan charm with modern comfort, providing a unique and peaceful retreat. The hospitality was outstanding, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure every moment of our stay was perfect. From the warm welcome to the attentive service, every detail reflected genuine care and professionalism. If you’re looking for an extraordinary escape that combines luxury, serenity, and spectacular views, Sigiriya Rock Gate Resort is an exceptional choice. We look forward to returning and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sigiriya.

Not far away from the lion rock. Nice owner but expensive price for some noodles. View to the lion rock at breakfast. Rooms were clean but old and smells wet like the AC too.

Located in a more rural part of the area - it’s beautiful with surrounding nature and farm land. The hosts are extremely sweet and lovely with two lovely dogs and I felt safe being there travelling alone. This is not located near the restaurants, shops or main places to visit, so you cannot walk anywhere or easily pick up transport. Probably more an issue with me needing to be better asking in honesty, but I moved to Sirigiya village the last night of my stay because I wanted to be able to get breakfast and dinner, plus be around more people. Sirigiya village was great for restaurants/cafes and other amenities, whilst still being quiet and surrounded by nature.

Amazing stay in the middle of the jungle!

UG and his family were such amazing hosts. They put me in the treehouse room, which at first I was a bit sceptical about but I ended up loving it as one of the most memorable parts of my trip. Right in the middle of the forest, around a 20 minute walk from Sigirya and Pidurangala rocks, very common to see elephants and deer walking around freely. Sri Lankan breakfast included as well was delicious and everything homemade! Would highly recommend for visits to see the two main rocks and a place to stay.

Me he alojado varias veces aquí y lo volveré a hacer.
