Beautiful hotel. Simple and modern. Room/bathroom were clean and spacious. Hotel and valet staff were friendly and very helpful. Hotel connected to Flying Horse Cafe. Hotel location was perfect, right across the AT&T plaza and Exchange Food Hall plus central to many nearby bars and restaurants. Will be definitely be staying here again!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Perfect location in downtown. The rooms were nice. There is only one microwave in the hotel and it is on the 25th floor. Aside from that, nice overall. Really enjoyed being able to pay for later checkout!

Excellent hotel with extremely comfortable beds, friendly staff and self laundering facilities for only $1. Conveniently located on downtown Dallas only 3 minutes walk from Orange line light rail so travel to/from airport is cheap and easy ( no Uber needed) Definitely highly recommended!

Staff is nice and courteous. Hotel property is old. AC system is old, bathrooms have old fittings, lift doesn’t have any security system (like the ones which work with your room key card). Also they didn’t have security cameras.

It was a nice hotel and they did upgrade us to a suite for free. The suite living room Furniture was a little outdated and could have been a little cleaner but we had no issues with the staff or hotel at all. Valet parking was pricey and I wish they had cheaper options. It was nice having a refrigerator and microwave in our kitchen sweet as well.

The Magnolia is a no fuss location where they get the important things right. I have stayed at the hotel several times in 2026. Each time the staff was excellent, my room (standard Queen) was good sized and clean, the bed was comfortable and the environment was reasonably quiet for being in the middle of downtown. The value for location is unmatched in Dallas. Close to dining and all the major cultural and historic attractions in Dallas. Convenient to transit.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Everything was well cleaned except the laundry room, ironically. The room was really spacious. If you need to park your car, you have to do valet, they don’t let you park your car yourself. It’s right in the middle of down town so there’s things to walk around and see. Their coffee shop was good. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Great location, rooms are a little dark, opening the window is an option but privacy is an issue as folks from other room can see you .. it is a great place especially if you are on a budget and want to be down town.. lots of things to see and places to eat.. Had minimal interaction with the staff otherwise I would pay a little more for another place next time.. however it served its purpose

The building itself is gorgeous and the location is wonderful. Beyond that, I was underwhelmed by the quality of the room itself. It’s an old building, so I expected a dated interior and looked forward to the charm. I was instead met with a musty room, dirty mini fridge, lots of noise, and low water pressure when taking showers. Our last night in the room, there was an issue with the toilet. We were told we could move rooms (11:30 at night) or use the publicly available bathrooms. We chose to just tough it out since we were leaving in the morning. Staff was pleasant enough, but for the price we will definitely be choosing another hotel next time.
