This was one of the best experiences at a hotel my family and I have ever encountered, and we have travelled to Europe, North America, UK in the past. The service at Valicha is second to none. The sisters who run the hotel are very friendly, accommodating, helpful hosts. They speak very good English and are always willing to assist in any way. Our room was cleaned daily, our toiletries replenished daily, towels changed daily. We asked for extra pillows, extra soap etc. and it was never a problem. My kids wanted noodle soup for dinner one night and one of the kind ladies prepared it and brought it up to our room. We did laundry twice since we stayed there for 9 days and the laundry service was impeccable. The clothes were sorted out in separate bags and folded neatly without wrinkles. The breakfast was out of this world! Prepared fresh as we came downstairs. Every morning was local bread with eggs, fresh blended fruit juice and another item whether it was either a granola bowl, pancake with fruit, tortilla with cheese and tomato. It was tasty, fresh and delicious every single morning. We had early pick ups a couple of mornings for our tour to Rainbow Mountain and Sacred Valley and the host waited by the gate with us until our transportation arrived. I cannot stress enough how wonderful these people at this hotel were. The Plaza de Armas is about a 15 mins walk away downhill. Most Ubers were between 8-10 soles from downtown Cusco back to the hotel. It was in a very safe. 100%
