Hotel is in a perfect location to call your home base when exploring Cusco and surrounding area. Rooms are decent, clean and tidy. Breakfast was good with basic fare. The Staff were super friendly and helpful in every way. Definitely walkable to many sites and restaurants.

The hotel has good security and was walking distance into the historic area of Cusco The rooms were large and the beds comfortable although I did find mine cold at night. Staff were very helpful and friendly which is always a good thing when travelling to a country where there is a language barrier.

Overall, it was an alright experience, but the room had ants, the front desk didn't have our reservation (they found it later), the wifi was inconsistent, and the shower couldn't stay warm (after 4 days hiking this was more important than it would've been otherwise).

Friendly, helpful staff. This is a simple, modestly priced, very clean & well-maintained small hotel about 25 min walk from the tourist bustle of Cisco’s historical center. Buffet breakfast next to hotel garden & excellent dinner restaurant a block away. I stayed here because I wanted a sense of Cusceño street life away from the tourists. No glorious view from the room—it’s a pretty quiet working street—but an excellent stay.

It was an incredible experience during my stay at Illas Inn. The host went above and beyond, being considerate and making arrangements to ensure I had everything I needed. The location was also great - 10 minutes walk to Cusco Square and literally 2 minutes walk to the PeruRail station. Thank you for providing such an incredible experience.

It was exceptionally personable thanks to Boris, the owner and everything else. He went the extra mile to help me arrange a taxi, store my bag, and visited with me. The place was charming, the breakfast was great, the garden is cute. The only thing I would pass on is to let the water run before it gets hot. It's off the beaten track from the main tourist area which was good for me. Would highly recommend.

The staff completely ignored the VIP status. The room were horrible, noisy, and some genius put windows in the room that look into the building stairs so anytime someone passes by and turn on the lights the room inside is very bright. Moreover it’s impossible to keep the room dark at night. The bathroom is a joke, is the smallest I have ever seen. After complaining the staff moved us in a triple room which is slightly more comfortable, credit to the staff for trying but the structure itself is awful

Enjoyed my stay at this hotel very much! First of all, its conveniently located, walkable distance from so many touristic spots. The stuff was just lovely, incredibly friendly and helpful, always happy to answer any question and to help and even suggest where to go, always there at the front desk at every hour, always smiling :) The breakfast was deliciously simple and fulfilling. The only problem for me was the shower - the water kept changing from hot to cold and the other way around. Which wasnt really bad, just didnt make one wish to prolong the shower ;) All in all, I'll absolutely stay there again

4 night stay. Everything was perfect! Great location - only 3 minute walk to Peru Rail station if taking train to Machu Picchu; 15 minute walk to city center; very clean! The best was Boris and his amazing staff - made my stay comfortable, made suggestions of places to see, organized taxi's for me, etc. Great buffet breakfast with variety of options! Illas inn First of all, I don’t understand how this place has 4 stars. This is a whole on the wall hotel. The rooms are extremely cold, no blackout drapes, not enough towels or toilet paper, noisy, the tv was not working. The breakfast was “very basic” and was not full ready at 7:00am like they mention. The people were nice and educated but, Was not a pleasant stay, I couldn’t recommend this place to anyone

Beautiful artsy gem away from touristy Cusco area

Don't be fooled by the front of the hotel -- it's just a door with iron bars that demands you to be buzzed in to enter. Once inside, it opens up to a very quiet hotel with a cute garden and artsy decor (maybe thanks to the Mercado de Artisanal just around the block). Definitely check this hotel out if you want a stay away from the more touristy/busy bar area of Cusco, and want to get more of a local feel. I walked around C del Sol neaby, grab some pollo ala brasa, even visited the post office and watched the buses carrying the Cusco residence come and go in the busy intersections nearby. The artisanal market is definitely where you want to go if you want a cheaper price for souvenirs (other than the Mercado de San Pedro, of course). Very polite and helpful staff, thank for such a nice stay!
