Room is outdated. Mold in bathroom. Ceiling texture was falling. Towel rack was also falling. Towels were dingy and old. On the other hand, room and hotel common areas were clean. Staff was pleasant and polite. This is absolutely NOT a 4 stars hotel. This place felt more like a glorified motel or Inn rather than a 4 stars.

Amazing

I stayed alone for eight nights. The room I was given the first day was noisy and had no outside windows. However, the gentleman at the reception desk was very attentive the next morning and gave me a spacious room. Breakfast was also very good. The staff was very attentive and friendly. If I come back, I would stay here again.

The staff is courteous and friendly, there seemed to alway be someone that spoke English available. I felt safe the entire time I was there. Only complaints were it got loud in the hall early in the mornings and the tv didnt work. I like to leave it on as white noise. House keeping was very friendly and helpful. I only had one meal in the restaurant, it was fine. There is a plaza across the street in front of the university. It was nice to sit and eat a pastel (go to the yellow shop.) There were homeless in it late at night, but I sat out on a bench a few nights and felt safe. There is a pharmacy and a small place to get groceries a few blocks away. The big selling point is a beautiful park about a 5 min walk away. Its got a lot for kids to see, its perfect for runners and its maintained well. From the hotel it was a short walk to the outdoor pedestrian shopping area, and the location seemed good otherwise. Its a good safe clean affordable choice, but it just didnt wow me like some other hotels have.
