“Room service too expensive”

“Great hotel in a nice quiet location. Ample parking. Deluxe room was a good size and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The food was good and reasonably priced, breakfast very good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Had a very pleasant stay.”

“We recently stayed at Longs Inn in Woburn for one night and, unfortunately, were quite disappointed. The property is in need of some updating and, overall, we found it looked tired, outdated and rather scruffy. Our bedroom had clearly been dusted and hoovered, and the bed itself was comfortable, but the furniture was very old and the room generally felt like it needed some investment. The bathroom was particularly disappointing, with black mould around the edges of the shower. The bedroom...

“Great breakfast”

“Beautiful setting and conveniently located to Tring and especially the train station which is a couple of minutes drive from the hotel. The rooms were clean and well appointed. After hours eats/snacks are not available. The only reason I left 3 stars for "well maintained" is that much of the wood trim on the exterior of the hotel is in desperate need for paint before the intricate wood trims start to rot. There were a couple of minor things in the room that could have been spruced up: the towel hook on the...
