Vacations Close To Cross of the Scriptures

Great location, nice and clean rooms. Couple of down sides, staff hand you the keys, don’t inform you about wi-fi or how to check out. Electric went off in the room, not able to contact anyone as no details were left.

Convenient location to north side of the river, however, difficult for taxis/Uber’s to get through directly. The room was relatively clean and comfortable, however, was extremely small for an ‘apartment’, especially the bathroom. Fortunately there were only two adults otherwise it would have been very tight. Also felt somewhat claustrophobic as we were unable to open the windows (which were extremely dirty). Also had the nearby office opposite looking through into our room and therefore blinds & curtains had to be shut all the time which felt dark. Wouldn’t recommend to be honest or stay again for the cost. There was also no cleaning service across our 3 day stay which I would expect.

This was just a two night city break over a weekend. The staff were very accommodating and we arrived in Dublin too early for check in so headed to the hotel to see if we could leave our bags. The staff were very helpful and even allowed us to check in early albeit in a different suite. This was fine by us but their helpfulness is worthy of mention. The room and facilities were amazing. The coffee machine was great and the apartment had a great kitchenette with dishwasher etc. The location was perfect for our needs and was a short walk downhill to the temple bar area.

Unfortunately this hotel left a lot to be desired. The showers didn’t have hot water (just warm), but the larger problem was the spa. The dream pool was disgustingly dirty, smelly and unhygienic. When I reported this to the staff, there was 0 follow up or apology. I’d consider it a health and safety violation, and I would not recommend the hotel to anyone.

Good quality mid-range hotel with a location within easy walking distance of many of Dublin’s attractions.
