Very Good

We had a lovely 2 night stay at the kestrel. The owner was very pleasant and welcoming. They were flexible with timings and the breakfast was super tasty!
Heavy traffic noise from main A road immediately outside, although constant only at rush-hour, and not so bad at night. Double glazing helped but the hot summer weather meant that even with the supplied fan the window had to remain open. Otherwise good value for money, a comfortable stay and a good base for the many local attractions.
Positives: Great views, good WiFi and good service/host.
Negatives: Not sound proof in the least, situated on a busy/fast A road with lots of HGV's (check street view).
according to the infomation on Expedia there was a bar and dining Area the owner told me that it had been closed for four years The place stank of MOULD the hotel was on a 60 mph road with no safe place to cross to the car park I feel extremely dissapointed with my stay i also feel extremely ripped off i am disgusted
I was made very welcome at the Kestral Inn. The room was clean and bright, the views were great! It was useful that evening meals were available as there was nothing else nearby. As the pub isn't open at present it was very quiet.
The room was clean and comfortable, the food was delicious. All covid safety rules were very well adhered to. The position just outside Crickhowell has amazing views and fortunately the sun shone all weekend a most enjoyable stay.
Very accomodating hosts,Richard and Fiona, Lovely pub . I had a meal there the first night which was excellent . The pub/restaurant is only open weekends so if you don't like solitude this may not be the place for you. Breakfast was superb. Perhaps the towels could be upgraded (quite small)but that would be my only comment.
