An unpretentious but very welcoming and pleasant stay with comfortable bed, hot showers and good storage space. The standout feature was the food: the cooked breakfast was excellent and the meals in the restaurant even better. Do try the homemade Suet Steak and Kidney pudding!!

What a wonderful local pub that is dog friendly. The owners / managers and the staff were friendly, helpful and nothing too much. Chatty locals. Locally sourced super home cooked food and locally brewed IPA. Clun is a nice village for a wander around after dinner. Last minute booking before rally driving would definitely visit again

The White Swan Inn was a lovely place to stay in a quaint village full.of character and charm. Our room was clean, and presentable, the staff were very friendly and accomodating, and the food was of excellant quality both Dinner and Breakfast, using locally sourced produce. The bar is full of the locals who are very friendly and welcoming, and the pub sits in the heart of the community. I would definately recommend the White Swan Inn for a relaxing stay.

★★★★★ Had a really pleasant stay at the White Horse Inn. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. It’s in a great location right in the heart of Clun, making it easy to explore the village and enjoy the surrounding countryside. Everything was straightforward and well looked after, and the whole place had a friendly, welcoming feel. A great place to stay – would happily return.

Lovely b&b would definitely stay again! Food absolutely delicious in the pub and for breakfast (using locally tour ed ingredients) and great choice of both food and drinks. Super friendly staff, make you feel very welcome and they’re really helpful! Rooms comfortable and the air con in bedroom was a huge plus! My Bathroom (room 2) had a huge bath tub and a shower with great water pressure and temperature. WiFi free and excellent throughout the building. My only very small issue was that the walls are thin to the corridors and you can hear guests walking to their rooms but to combat that the hotel provide ear plugs for each guest which was very helpful! Cannot hear anything from the pub itself though. Plus it’s not a huge place so not loads of guests passing so not a big deal but I always like to put pros and cons for balance if there are both. I otherwise slept well, bed was comfy! There is a beer garden to the rear of the pub which is lovely. No specific parking but ample community parking with no issues and no payment required. I’d definitely return without hesitation!

A very old traditional English pub, very busy with local villagers, warm and welcoming, children, parents, dogs. Local ales on tap. Food was of traditional fare, lovely breakfast, service was excellent. Actual room, comfortable enough though needs updating.

The inn was a good mix of history, local flavor, and convenience. Friendly staff and host, food was very good and made to feel welcome. The only downside is there is no lift.

We were walking the Shropshire Way and the White Horse was a nice place to fall into at the end of a long day's walk. The food was wholesome and the bedroom was quiet and comfortable. The bar area was popular with locals celebrating a football match win and this lasted until around 10:00 pm when it all subsided into a gentle placidity. The breakfast in particular was delicious.

Nice young lady showed us to our room which was nice. Only thing needed was a chair ( there was a stool. All areas clean. Good shower . Asked if we wanted to book a table for dinner, yes, done. Lovely little dining room. Food was good. Big telly ( eyesight not good so beneficial for me) , plug sockets both sides of the bed. Good hospitality tray. Comfy bed. Bar was open until late but our room was quiet. Nice atmosphere in bar. Good welcome for breakfast, efficient and friendly service. Times for breakfast & checkout were good. Didn't pay anything until we checked out. No pressure, relaxed. Wed definitely go there again.

We were surprised that hotels.com had this place on their website. Accepting it's an ancient building but hoping that it was part of its charm we were disappointed with the stay. We were taken via the back stair to the room and my heart sank. Not a good start. The stair carpet and stairwell was shabby We stayed in the blue Room, the size of the room was good The room was updated and decorated in a make do and mend fashion a complete mish mash not at all sympathetic to the age of the building.. The shower room was very dated. For example there was a huge Chesterfield type sofa along with other items in the room seemed as if they were there as they had nowhere else in the building to put it. The outlook from the room was really ugly. Our biggest problem was throughout the night we had cooler or ventilation fans clicking off and on and then from about seven o'clock in the morning maybe earlier the kitchen started work and even more noise came from the likes of extractor fans. A very disturbed sleep certainly NOT A PLACE WE COULD RECOMMEND.We did notice Ear plugs for not for one minute did we think of the significance and impact on our sleep. We didn't book last minute so it was disappointing to think we were allocated what must have been the worst room in the house. We had a particular offer with hotels.com and the room rate was reduced so is this the reason why such a room was allocated to us. We are beginning to think if deals such as this are worthwhile. Evening meal

This was an amazingly relaxed place to visit. The white horse inn was brilliant.lots of little touches that embellished the visit. Top quality and extremely good value for money. Food was fantastic , the fish pie and stake and ale pie would really have me coming back. Their ales are great and if your a cider drinker they likely have one you'll appreciate. Didn't want to leave. Go and visit a community pub. You'll see one here.
