We recently stayed at Hotel B Unique and overall had a great experience. The property is beautifully landscaped and sits right on the ocean with amazing emerald-colored water and incredible sunsets each evening.
The rooms were clean, comfortable, and fairly large. About half overlook the ocean while the others face the jungle side of the property. The hotel has two clean pools, including an adults-only pool, although the water was a little warmer than we prefer. There is also a jacuzzi on site.
There is no sandy beach, but there is a small lagoon-style entry into the ocean. Be careful of sea urchins in the area. Once outside the lagoon, the snorkeling is very good, and the water is deep enough for a nice shore dive, especially at night.
The food was very good but somewhat expensive, and the restaurant service was quite slow. We often waited a long time for water and to place our order. The hotel also does not offer an all-inclusive option, which may matter to some travelers.
Since the hotel is located about 10 minutes north of the ferry pier, I would recommend renting a car for longer stays so you can explore local restaurants and the island more easily.
Overall, this is a beautiful boutique-style hotel with great ocean access, relaxing views, and a peaceful atmosphere.
