Cosy wee pub ideal to stay before and after festival . Friendly staff and excellent pub and pub food
Perfect location for a weekend in Cowes. Close to the ferry, bars and rest. No disturbance from the pub either.

Disliked: Amenities
The bar staff were very helpful and courteous, however there was no Wi-Fi and nothing in our room was cleaned or replenished for the next day. The shower door had a gap at the bottom which allowed water to escape thereby flooding the bathroom. Very disappointing overall.
A great place to stay, right in the heart of Cowes. Great music, atmosphere and staff. All staff were friendly, helpful and a joy to be around. The room was clean and comfortable and suited its purpose. Will stay again for sure.
I booked the property going solely from the reviews and was not disappointed. The room was clean and comfortable. The food choices and service was good and i enjoyed eating there.
I was not really expecting much as the cost was very reasonable but was impressed. The staff were really good and very pleasant. This is a town centre pub so noise may be an issue at times but during our stay it was only evident on the friday night (before xmas) which still was not a problem. I would definitely stay there again.
Generous room well decorated. The bathroom was roomy but would have benefited from a few hooks for towels & clothing. No breakfast available and no recommendation on where to eat but we found a good option at Harbour Kitchen just down the road.
The staff were friendly, the room was cute and clean BUT there was noisy drilling and hammering until late at night nearby and shortly after 6am, lorries unloading for nearby Sainsbury’s and Poundland which made for a poor night’s sleep sadly

2 Nights at the Anchor Pub
There was no wardrobe or desk in the room
The shower was magnificent
The staff were superlative
Obviously there is no lift as it is an old building not the staff took my luggage to the room
The location is excellent
For a single male the accommodation is fine but I imagine ladies would expect more comfort
I had a wonderful stay and the staff were wonderful

Great location in downtown Cowes and near floating bridge to E Cowes. Room up a lot of stairs. Bathtub in terrible shape - not just leaking - hemmoraging! ! Needs to be replaced.
Unique experience to stay above a bar - noise not an issue but there was no band that nite. Had almost no contact with staff. They did help me with my bag.

We stay at the Anchor before and after the IOW festival every year . It’s near the ferry terminal close to shops etc . Lovely pub with great food . Rooms are small and clean and can be a bit noisy as above a pub but that’s to be expected . Our room this year was very hot but a fan was in the room which helped a bit.
Only complaint this year the mattresses really need replaced ,so thin in our room you could feel every slat and the pillows thin and cheap . Maybe ok for one night but after 4 nights our backs not good and would put us off staying again . We did ask if they had any Mattress toppers and were just told no.
Overall convenient , hand location clean good selection of drinks and food excellent
Excellent accommodation while on the Isle of Wight. Food was also excellent and staff extremely helpful.
Great location

It is in the middle of Cowes so convenient for everything, being above a pub it is a bit noisy but to be expected. The windows open onto the high street which would be nice to know beforehand. I was there for for four nights but the room wasn’t serviced while I was there, bottled water was provided when I arrived but not replenished during my stay.
Right in the middle of the High Street so very convenient. Parking is 5 minutes walk. A traditional pub with rooms above. Our room was very compact and overlooked the storage yard which meant that, with the window open, there was noise from moving beer barrels around. It wasn’t very noisy but is probably not great if you want an early night and you’re a light sleeper.
