“I had an ocean view room which also looked over the car park & pub on the corner. Was a bit noisy on Fri & Sat nights & during the day as they are renovating the outside of the building. Didn’t bother me as l was not there during the day. I loved being able to see & hear the ocean & the close proximity to restaurants & beach walks. The room was very spacious & good storage for clothes. The hotel is in need of an update but for the price l paid, l felt it was excellent value for money.”

“Loved staying in a historic building. Beautiful architecture and great, friendly staff. The bar is exceptionally eell sticked ! Only difficulty for us was the music downstairs in the bar and restaurant until midnight when we are usually early to bed. Please note steep, narrow stairs, but it is a historic building.”

“Waited over 45 minutes for our shuttle pick up from airport. Our check in was a very perfunctory matter but reception staff the next morning were far more engaging and helpful. Breakfast in the restaurant was fine. Our room was pretty mingy - sad decor, one side of the bed against the wall, flickering light. Okay for one night.”

“Good location with easy free bus access to the city. We didn't like the emphasis on punishments if we did something wrong. Felt chastised for nothing. I suppose they have a history of people doing damage.”
