Tami Lodge is unique and beautiful. The hotel and cafe staff are friendly and welcoming. We had the best time and even got to play bingo with some of the people who work at the hotel at the community celebration. We had a wonderful and the views are incredible!
Tami lodge is located in a beautiful place far from civilization. We stayed in a glamping tent style that has a lovely shower and two comfortable beds. It was slightly cool at night which I loved because it made it easy to sleep. We needed to cancel the second night because we rescheduled our flight and we got our money back, no questions asked. I highly recommend this place.
What a fun place to stay! It was GLAMPING at it's finest.
Comfy bed with nice linens, nice bathroom and shower area - - although it would be nice to have better/stronger/brighter lighting in all areas. (but, that might have been by design as this is an ecolodge.).
We enjoyed comfortable seating on the deck of the unit overlooking the valley. The sound of rushing water was nice to fall asleep to.
The gathering area / cafeteria was well stocked with WIFI, music, views, tables and chairs for lounging, snack bar with great food (we had avocado toast) and drink!
The restaurant attached (not physically) to Tami Lodge is FABULOUS. Breakfast - included - was fit for a king! We also had a take out picnic breakfast for one of our days and an evening meal off an impressive menu.
The best part was the staff. Kind, caring and attentive to every need.
I learned that while this place is a lodge that anyone can book, it is also a space put in place to use with groups brought in to volunteer for 'earth watch' type programs - - volunteer projects for helping the community - as well as sharing techniques and education about protecting the precious cloud forest environment.
I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!
OH - in case you are worried about bugs and creepy crawly things - - the only 'creature' I found near my space was a spider.... and I have lots of them right here at home.
A true gem in the middle of the cloud forest.
Super friendly people and great dinner options at a superb price. Juan and his sons are doing a great job.
Cannot recommend this place enough if you are looking for a quiet place in the cloud forest.
Some great activities close by: Quetzal watching your, coffee tour, a few local waterfalls and also 1 hour drive away the great trails of Savegre Hotel
This place is absolutely amazing. If you can’t unplug don’t go there it is the most peaceful rest of sleep you will get in your life because the rooms do not have electricity. There are no cars on the dirt road and all you hear are the crickets and nearby waterfall! The staff is so helpful and accommodating. I almost don’t want to tell anyone about this place to keep it pure but if you’re looking for a stay in the jungle where you can see the most stars in your life, go here! Picture included
The view from this hotel is amazing. The beds were comfortable and there is no need for AC because the mountains are cool at night. Staff were friendly but I didn't find them overly helpful, having to request information instead of it being offered freely but that seems to be a Costa Rican trait, not specific to this lodge. There isn't much to this place except beautiful views unless you book one of the tours. I didn't but later wished that I had. My biggest concern is that you must have 4-wheel drive to reach your destination. This was not clear when I booked the reservation. Luckily, I had 4-wheel drive. All and all I enjoyed my stay here.
