What surprised me most was that, out of all the Nordic countries we visited, this was the only destination where we booked a three-star hotel, yet it ended up being the most expensive accommodation of the entire trip. Was the service fundamentally poor? Not necessarily. However, there was very little that stood out as particularly memorable or impressive. The breakfast was perfectly adequate, and while the check-in process was not problematic, it felt somewhat underwhelming due to the lack of warmth and hospitality from some of the staff. The location itself was certainly convenient, which is one aspect I appreciated. However, if I had to summarize the experience in a single sentence, I would describe it as a “three-star hotel experience at a four-star hotel price.” To be fair, one member of the staff was genuinely kind and helpful, and I do believe that deserves recognition. Unfortunately, that positive interaction was not enough to significantly change my overall impression of the stay.

We cannot say enough great things about Go Hotel Herlev! The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable and very helpful with every question we had regarding the area, sightseeing, transportation etc. The hotel was very quiet and centrally located with a grocery and coffee shop in the small shopping area just a few steps away from the hotel. They even offered us the use of a flat iron hair styler when mine stopped working until I could find a replacement. The train station was less than a 10 minute walk from the hotel which made it convenient for all of our sightseeing. We would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat!!

Hotel has been taken over by a chain who are modernising the building. We were in a newly refurbed room which was lovely, clean and perfect for us. Yes it was warm but there was a fan. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. 15 mins on train to centre of Copenhagen, ideal.

Check in was easy with friendly and helpful staff. The area is nearby local cafe with some shopping center. Car parking was easy even though it was limited space but luckily I manage to find one. Be sure to register your car if you are parking to avoid any charges. Registering is for free. Train station is about 10-15mins walk away which will link to center of Copenhagen. Recommend to people to stay on this place.

Staff were amazing. We were arriving late but got held up in UK where our flight was delayed over 3 hours. The hotel phoned us to check we were ok and talked us through key collection as we were arriving after reception closed. They also sent the info by text. Hotel was further away from Copenhagen airport than we realised but staff told us next day that if we had phoned them they would have transferred us to a closer hotel. Staff on reception were so helpful and contacted car hire company next day to explain we would be a bit later. They gave my husband detailed directions on how to get to the hire company and let us check out a bit later as we were travelling with children. Could not fault their service. Room was really nice and area around hotel very pretty.

Convenient location, free parking (if you can find space), friendly staff, deluxe room with patio very nice and spacious, mini fridge and instant coffee, great breakfast. I was there during very hot summer days so be mindful of no aircon and ventilation. The room had a mini-fan that was useful. I'll stay there again in less hot weather.
