One of the most charming boutique hotels we’ve ever stayed in! Every amenity thought of and superbly done. The Balinese decor was very boho chic. The staff was outstanding, helpful with recommendations and friendly. Rooms are small, but so comfortable and attractive. We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to return!

Very little hot water pressure very very little hot water pressure on a handheld and a shower and a bathroom toilet sink. Elevator was very slow the staff at the restaurant and the food was very well prepared prices were higher than comparable places.

The property is nicely situated near the train station, Tivoli garden (both less than 5mins walk), and Nyvan (very walkable). I didn’t realize there is no AC, no coffee maker or refrigerator in the room. The nights were cool enough to have the windows open. However, if there is an event going on, it gets loud at night even with the windows closed. You can ask the hotel to ask the neighborhood people to tone down. I didn’t know I could do this so had 2 sleepless nights. Otherwise I would recommend the hotel based on the location, staff, cleanliness, organic, and has a super cute courtyard where you can sit and unwind for hours.

The location is the best thing about this hotel. It is very close to Tivoli Gardens, the train station and many bars, restaurants and shopping. The rooms are in need of updating/re-design. There was a very uncomfortable looking stone bathtub in the area with the bed which just got in the way. The bed was comfortable and the linens were nice.

The location was ideal for Tivoli and where our tour started. The hotel offers laundry service which was awesome and a good price. There is no air conditioning but they do provide a fan and can give you an extra one which made it fine. We do recommend the hotel invest in black out curtains as even at night the sun is out (or be sure to pack sleep masks).

This hotel was really solidly positive experience, with its unique Bali-inspired atmosphere, excellent food in the restaurant, friendly staff, creative and generous breakfast and well decorated room. How did they manage to get so much out of this relatively small hotel? We did not try anything of the Spa facilities as we had our dog with us. Highly recommended.

A fantastic experience as we were upgraded to the penthouse sweet upon check in for an additional fee of 500dkr. A quick and hassle free check in even though we didn’t have time to check in online prior to our arrival. The hottub was a great extra feature and made it all extra luxurious. My stay at Axel Guldsmeden was overall very enjoyable. Check-in was quick and easy, and the rooms had a cozy atmosphere with a nice, unique vibe. However, the cleanliness could have been slightly better. The hotel offers a great selection of amenities, including body oil, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The room itself was well-equipped with everything you might need, such as a kettle, TV, and a safe. The spa was a real highlight, excellent value for money and often quite empty, making it perfect for relaxing. It includes everything from a sauna and steam room to a jacuzzi and infrared sauna. A nice extra touch was the complimentary coffee scrub, mud mask, and even a peanut mix to enjoy while relaxing on the sunbeds. Breakfast was delicious, with most, if not all, items being organic. There was a wide selection, from scrambled eggs and crispy bacon to juices and ginger shots. One thing to note is that it can get quite crowded on weekends. Some guests had to sit outside in the garden, where it was a bit chilly in the morning, so it’s best to arrive early to secure a table indoors. The hotel also has a gym, which is a great bonus. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always available, either in person or via the phone in the room. Location wise, the hotel is very central, within walking distance of the main train station, metro stops, a nearby supermarket, and tivoli gardens. A great stay with a relaxing atmosphere with just minor room for improvement.

Great hotel right in the centre of the meat packing district. If you want good food and drinking locations this is the right areas for you. Hotel itself has s great and I have stayed many times. Some rooms are better than others but generally they are lal the same. Toiletries are top notch compared to many others in Copenhagen. Almost makes it worth it in itself. The TV channel options are towards the worst of all hotels I've stayed in here but acceptable (you don't normally come to a city like this for watching the TV) Would recommend to anyone coming here.

The room was facing a courtyard that was used for storage, trash, and bike parking. The courtyard was loud all throughout the morning to night. The room had no curtains and was on the first floor, very little privacy.
