I good motel in close proximity to Cooperstown, Oneonta and the Fly Creek Cider mill. The staff do a good job of maintaining the facility and are friendly and service oriented. ( HVAC filters needed cleaning for those guests with allergies,) The check-in policy is a bit cumbersome yet understandable given the potential liability issues but was hard to read on the small 3-inch credit card screen making you feel trapped and reliant on a clerk's trustworthy explanation. The hold is removed by BW at checkout and normally by the credit card bank within a day!

The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The beds and pillows were firm and comfortable (which I LOVED!). The staff was friendly and helpful, always greeting us with a Hello and smile as we were arriving/leaving. Overall, the stay exceeded my expectation.

It was surprisingly a good stay. The workout room needed attention as there was no water and towels available after the first day. Breakfast wasn’t the best but, its hotel breakfast Laundry machines were great. The only downside was I missed the checkout early by 1.25 hours and had to still pay for the room.

The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. However, the room was very cold when we arrived, which was especially noticeable since it was a rainy day. Housekeeping also missed cleaning our room one of the days during our stay. Another downside was the noise level. People were very loud in the lobby well after quiet hours, which was disruptive. The pool area also seemed to lack proper ventilation, making the chlorine smell extremely strong. Overall, the stay was comfortable in terms of cleanliness and the beds, but there are definitely a few areas that could be improved.

Nothing too fancy. I stayed in a one king bed room for my son’s Cooperstown experience. Breakfast is your basic continental breakfast options. The exercise room needs some better options, it’s pretty sad. The price is ridiculous during the summer because of the cooperstown tournament.

We were greeted by ‘Bow’ who made our arrival seamless. We travel with a Service Dog and my husband has mobility issues. She was very accommodating and made sure we had a quiet room. The night staff was equally friendly. I had very low expectations since we usually only stay at Marriott. This is the closest hotel to Dream Park and that was a huge benefit. So having a clean, pleasant place to rest was definitely a benefit.

My husband and I had a very nice stay for 3 nights while we explored the surrounding areas. What stood out the most to us was the staff. Staff is what makes or breaks a place and we were absolutely blown away by how polite and professional each staff member we interacted with was. The first night we noticed the shampoo dispenser was empty and that the tub drained quite slowly. We had brought shampoo so no big deal there. What blew us away was the prompt service to fix it the next day. We went to the front desk to explain the issue and when we got back to the room it wasn't even 10 minutes later that someone was there with shampoo. We were getting ready to leave for the day but the gentleman who came with the shampoo promised to come back to fix the shower drain. The drain was 100% fixed when we showered again that evening. We enjoyed the provided breakfast each morning before we headed out each day. We liked that the location was perfect for everything we had planned for our short trip. We got to explore Herkimer Diamond Mines, Howe Caverns, Glimmerglass State Park, many hiking trails, and of course enjoyed exploring Cooperstown. All in all we throughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return to Best Western in Cooperstown and elsewhere.
