The Retreat Center offered a fabulous opportunity for a midpoint stop. The location and property were stunning. The drive into the property offered great promise of a comfortable stay. The after hours check in was simple and the access to the room was right off the main driveway. Parking was easily accessible and close to the unit. The room itself was large, very clean, with a mini kitchen should it be necessary, and a single serve coffee pot was available. The bathroom was very clean, great hot water, and a nice fast showerhead. The fan extractor was incredibly loud! A porch overlooking the lake made for a very pleasant evening to sit outside as the lake traffic kept going to a bit. The area around the property provides great walking options whether along the lake shore, on paved roads through the property, or access to several hiking routes. The provided information manual was fairly detailed with information. This Retreat was a perfect stop on a very long drive. Simple in its offerings, it was a great stop. On another retreat, without access to internet, the property had great difficulty in connecting to confirm arrival details. Expedia no longer provides the option of a phone number for the property. Once in an area where communication was possible, the property was immediately available and advised on late arrival check in procedures. Do make sure you have all the necessary information prior to arrival.

Perfect local getaway

We had a great time in our room at the retreat. Very quiet and peaceful and relaxing. Very close to Burgess falls where we wanted to go. They are pet friendly so I was able to have my dogs with me which really helped put my mind at ease. I will absolutely be coming back!

The property is absolutely beautiful and sits right on the lake. Our room overlooked the lake and mountain range, which made the quiet, quaint experience so much better. The grounds had lots of places to play, fish and sit in peace. We would stay here again if ever back in the area.

Awesome experience start to finish. Property was quiet and clean. Staff is available 24/7 for questions. WiFi is a bit spotty as it’s a community WiFi but we honestly didn’t mind. We took it as an opportunity to play some games as a family. We stayed in hilltop and honestly, my kids had more fun playing in the giant wheelchair accessible showers than anything else lol. Home was well kept and clean, honestly felt like I was staying with an older relative as opposed to a rental property. Highly recommend for anyone looking to just have a quiet weekend away.
