Amazing stay with my family for Christmas get toge

The hotel and all of the staff were amazing Rooms very comfortable and clean. Staff are really friendly and helpful Would definitely stay again The bar and restaurant areas are really homely and comfortable and the food is outstanding

Great stay and location for the family!

Fantastic stay! Stayed with the family of 4 in a double room, very spacious and clean overall. Great location, lovely breakfast. The restaurants are very tasty and staff are friendly and professional. Would love to stay again! only downside was the building work but it didn't disrupt our day at all.

Beautiful and friendly hotel

This hotel has the most friendly staff I've ever experienced! We had a wonderful time, despite an electricity cut due to heavy snow! The only downfall was heating issues with the pool/jacuzzi meant we didn't take advantage of those facilities.

Stunning hotel We got an amazing deal for a single night for 3 rooms. Having just completwd a tour of the North coast 500 on bikes we were looking for a nice hotel for our last noght before heading home. This one did not disappoint Immaculate throughout The rooms are stunning Food in the bar was delicious too

I’ve stayed here dozens of times over many years, I believe that currently the hotel is in the best shape it’s ever been, apart from the old original windows. Special mention to the chef who has does a great job.

Pool area doesnt match the rest of the hotel, hotel was very nice. Evening meal in the bar area was excellent but the tables where not kept clean, staff seemed very over worked. Room was brilliant and all staff really friendly.

Fabulous stay

We had a two-night mini-break in a beautiful premium room, spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed with a huge, mega-comfortable bed. Loved the leisure complex with pool and sauna. Only gripe was that the jacuzzi wasn't very warm. Great food in the two restaurants and the most delicious breakfasts delivered to our room. Lovely, friendly staff, Joanne in particular looked after us very well. We will definitely be returning.

Beautiful hotel let down by the pool

Hotel was lovely. Very clean and comfortable. However the fitness centre/swimming pool let it down. The jacuzzi was cold and not much in the way of loungers in pool area. There was chips in wood and paint works and pool area itself was cold. This was completely at odds with the hotel.

Great value stay

Enjoyed our stay here whilst visiting Stanhope. Room and public bedroom corridor areas were overly-warm however, which can’t be good for “eco friendliness”. Staff were polite, friendly and welcoming. We ate in the dog-friendly bar one night, which was pretty busy with a few loud and lairy customers. Our second night dining experience in the upstairs bistro restaurant was superb! Really enjoyed the quality and service upstairs. We made us of the spa/pool area which was really quite tired and in need of some TLC, with abandoned swimsuits left on the changing room floor, locker doors hanging off, and gutters blocked and overflowing.
