The service and staff were exceptional. We stayed there for five nights. We are a family of four and the room was a bit tight, with two double beds. Being connected to the One Galle Face mall was very convenient. My wife liked that but I'm not a big mall person so there was limited benefit for me. The food options at the hotel for a vegan were quite limited, and there was low appetite for customising dishes (which is somewhat understandable in such a big hotel). My main gripe would be how salty and oily the food was - even when we asked for salt to be withheld on the kids' chips for example. The kids loved the pool area and the pool was still reasonably warm even at 7pm.

Had three night stay while on personal visit to the ISLAND. It was very pleasant stay. Everything was very close to where we wanted to be.centre of town with the view to the INDIAN OCEAN.

The staffs were not helpful. They didn’t bring my luggage to my room even though they said they would do so, I had to wait for 1 hour and half. When checking out I asked the staff at the reception to give me a slip to proove that my deposit was surely canceled, but they didn’t provide. and then I booked a limousine to the airport in advance (75US$!!!), but NOBODY took care of that. It was a really unpleasant stay unfortunatelly. No repeat.

Absolutely amazing stay at Shangri-La Colombo! The hotel is stunning and super comfortable, but what really stood out was the incredible service. Special thanks to Nisal at the front desk—so professional and helpful—and Ishani in the lobby lounge, who was warm, friendly, and made us feel truly welcome. Everything from check-in to check-out was seamless. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!
