Plus: Good location, easy connections to city centre, good connection to Cologne-Bonn Airport. Loved the Kärcher steam iron. Staff was very friendly. Minus: No coffee and tea facilities in the room and limited space to hang and unpack your clothes if you’re staying more than two nights.

I loved the location close to the E-Werk venue. The hotel was safe and very clean which are very important. My German isn’t very good and the staff was polite and patient with me. The lobby, gathering areas, rooms, and property are attractive. My only complaint, and not a big deal, was the food options in the evening down at the bar were limited.

The hotel is really comfortable. I like Moxy very much and I try to stay at one whenever I can. The stuff at Moxy Cologne has been superb! Very friendly and helpful. However, I find the breakfast very poor for the price. Also, the fitness area is not as well equipped as other Moxy’s. That’s a pity.

Nice room, poor service

Nice modern room. Air-con didn’t work so did get a little hot, but windows open so not too bad. The service was lacking. Check-in and out was great unfortunately bar experience was shocking. Two female staff didn’t want to serve as their shift finished in 10 minutes and told colleague through back and will be out soon. They were not doing anything they just didn’t want to do work.

The room and the staff are great! Just a few issues with the room: - Air Con was not working throughout our stay. Because we were in a family room, there was only 1 other room available which also didn’t have working air con. We even called ahead to check the air con was working and were informed it was. - Our shower gel was empty upon arrival and had to ask 3 times for new shower gel. - The sliding door to the bathroom had an opening which meant everyone in the room could see straight to the toilet. Not ideal for 3 mates sharing a room! - The car park is extortionate (€25 per night). Park in the multi-story at the end of the road which is cheaper (€16 per night).
