So if we're being honest here then we should address the fact that the pictures are not a fair representation of the room. There is no carpet, the TV connects to nothing and some lamps don't have bulbs in them. The images of breakfast are also not accurate. There's bread, sometimes hard boiled eggs (but not always), cheese and ham cuts, yoghurt and some sliced fruit mix. They have a Nutella dispenser lol. Kinda non-eventful tbh. We skipped breakfast towards the end of our stay as it honestly was not worth getting out of bed for! The hallway smells of smoke and the general look is dated. The doors are old and use a key with no real locking mechanism, no peephole and not latch for security. You can also hear everything in the hallway like it was in the room with you. Reception will look at you and say hello when prompted but otherwise are pretty statuesque. Despite this, it's pretty average. The location is convenient to center and 10min walk for the trains. If you're looking for just a bed and simple base for your time in Cologne, then yes, it will do. If you're looking for a nice stay or any type of above average comforts, I would seek another hotel. I have been fair in my assessment and want only to inform those who will be mislead by the images provided by the hotel.

The property is walkable to all main areas. The staff were all friendly, Saleem at the check in was very helpfulf and went above expectations to help us out. Breakfast was good and the room was clean and comfotable.

Definitely value for money with nice continental breakfast included. We booked the comfort room on top (5th) floor, comfortable beds, small shower, no air conditioning but the tilt window allows fresh air in, carpet needs replacing, walls freshly painted. Quaint hotel and staff were helpful.

The hoel could do with a bit of modernisation, particuarly the radiators. Thankfully the noise of the radiators drowned out most of the sound of some very inconsiderate guests banging on someones door very loudly at 2am. Breakfast was good but some scrambled eggs wouldnt go a miss! Be advised parking is limited and quite expensive

Comfortable enough. Clean enough. Very serviceable 2-3 star hotel. No extras, long queues for check in. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy check out. Could use additional sound proofing. Stairs everywhere, with lifts but only in some places. Not an issue for me to take 5-6 stairs but those with mobility issues should be wary.

Was skeptical about coming with the amount of bad reviews, we checked in Thursday 29th January and the staff was helpful and friendly, we struggled to find the room which was our own fault we did multiple laps of the hotel, we found it was clean , we we just a little outdated but nothing bad at all, the room itself was okay; they was a stain on the carpet , and the window didn’t open but other then that everything was okay, the hotel is in a good location close by to everything , and breakfast was okay we only went once but it was quiet a nice little area and all the staff we saw were friendly and nice, we checked out Saturday - we had an amazing stay and we would definitely come back and we reccomend this hotel! Do not listen to all the bad reviews we was really impressed , such good value for the money!

I was nervous about booking this hotel based on the reviews but it far surpassed our expectations. All staff were very helpful, 24 hour reception, extensive free breakfast, lift, clean bedding and room, a safe and hair dryer in the room, very close to transport restaurants and supermarkets. Only minor downside is no kettle in the room. I would recommend this hotel to any and would definitely stay here again if I was in the city.

Location was good and accessible however the condition of the room was poor. The room was absolutely sweltering hot compared to reception areas and the corridor. The shower head was broken and was spraying water out of the shower and flooded the bathroom floor. The free WiFi did not work. The beds were very uncomfortable. Disappointed with the hotel overall.
