Great location

Great location in the heart of Cologne, two minutes from the riverside and Cathedral. The hotel staff are friendly and the rooms are comfortable, if a little dated. It was a brief stay but an enjoyable one. Would be happy to use again.

I loved everything about this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I loved the location as well. It was close to the cathedral and Christmas markets. The room was nice as well. Overall I would stay here again next time.

I had a wonderful 4-night stay in September. The staff at the desk and breakfast room could not have been kinder. The location is close to the train station, the river, and many wonderful restaurants. Our room was very clean.

Weekend break

Hotel itself was clean and comfortable. Lovely clean bathroom. Couldn’t fault it. The only problem for our room was that it was next to the bar next door. They had loud music and karaoke up until midnight and it kept us both awake both nights.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was basic but comfortable. Breakfast included a good variety and was well presented. The property is within short walking distance of the Dom, the Old Market, Rathaus and the train station.

Needs an update!

It’s a very old hotel where you need an “old”key to manually open the doors. The elevator has a door that you have to slide open before entering. The service desk attendant was hesitant to go give us water.

Hotel war für ein Konzert in der Philharmonie die perfekte Wahl wegen der Lage. Personal am Empfang sehr freundlich. Der Lift ist sehr klein. Das Einzelzimmer ist schon recht eng, es gibt nicht mal eine Türe zum Bad. Es war sehr heiß in dem Zimmer, was auch durch Lüften nicht zu ändern war. Bei Ankunft roch es extrem stark und unangenehm nach etwas (Putzmittel oder ähnliches?), was bei mir leichte Kopfschmerzen verursacht hat. Teppichboden in Hotelzimmern ist auch nicht mehr Standard heutzutage, das ist ein Dreck- und Bakterien-Herd. Ganz schlimm fand ich den Plastikvorhang am Fenster. Das war mehr ein Duschvorhang als ein Vorhang für ein Hotelzimmer. Der Fernseher funktionierte nicht, was bei nur einer Übernachtung und nur kurzen Aufenthalten im Zimmer jetzt nicht schlimm war. Im Bad war eine der Deckenlampen defekt, dadurch war die Beleuchtung schlecht. Insgesamt stimmt hier das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis überhaupt nicht.

Gute Lage was die Mobilität und Flexibilität betrifft (5min Fußweg zum Hbf). 24/7 Service an der Rezeption mit nettem Personal Einziges Manko für Personen die es sehr ruhig brauchen ist wiederum die Location eher ungeeignet, da viele Bars und Restaurants in der Umgebung sind, welche auch mal gerne lauter sein können.

Schlaflos in Köln

Die Einzelzimmer waren sehr klein, z.T. sehr dunkel, tagsüber musste Licht eingeschaltet werden, auf einen Hinterhof gehend, in welchem eine laute Absauganlage o.ä. arbeitete, auch nachts. Nur ein Zimmer hatte eine Klimaanlage, die so laut war, dass man nicht schlafen konnte. Die Hotelmitarbeiter waren nett und bemüht, das konnte die Mängel jedoch nicht wettmachen. Das einzig hervorragende war die Lage des Hotels als Ausgangspunkt für Unternehmungen.

Das Hotel ist super gelegen. Am Rand der Albstadt und in Sichtweite des Dom und des Rhein. Toller Ausgangspunkt für Shopping oder eine Kneipentour. Die Hotelzimmer sind frisch renoviert und super sauber. Die Flure würden einen neuen Anstrich und neue Bilder vertragen dann wäre es super+++
