He had a premium room which was very spacious and had a great view of the cathedral. Hotel was also extremely close to S-Bahm/tram stop, thus giving great access to the city centre.

Close to the station and good breakfast (sort of British style). But the safe box was not working. We spoke to the reception and they said there is nothing they can do…. About 5 to 10 mins walk, there are food restaurants. Small supermarket near by.

Nice hotel

The hotel was close to the centre, 10min walk. There was also a station right by the hotel if needing transport to the centre station, too. The bar and lounge area was very nice and the room was very clean. The staff on check-in were lovely. One small downfall was the noise of the door at night, you could hear the main door slamming each time someone would enter or exit.

The hotel is located right off the Hansaring Station which is one stop from Cologne Central Station. There is a subway station in front of the hotel as well. It’s also walkable to all attractions if you prefer to walk around. The staff is friendly, and the room is clean and spacious. Need a card to access the floor and the room that makes us feel safe. We will stay here again.

We did mention it was cold and asked for extra blankets they gave us 1 single duvet. one of the elevators was not working so waiting for the other 1 working elevator was a nightmare espically with kids. The breakfast was the same everyday nothing new just boiled eggs, scrambled eggs or beans (we dont eat bacon or sausage). not much selection in cheese, fruit or veg. the location was not bad, the car park that leads to the hotel was free. only plus point about this hotel. The hotel was dated but clean.

The room was very spacious and clean. Location is fantastic as the hotel is right next to the overground station. This was a saviour as there was terential rain on the day. Service on the hand, possibly understaffed. The breakfast arrangement was a terrible sight with plates left piled across all the tables. Also I strongly recommend that they place a fragerance in the entrance to the reception as the scent of stale food combined with other ill smelling factors was very unpleasant.

Short city break for two

Very large and comfortable room with good clean facilities. There was no coffe maker or kettle though which seemed a bit odd for a 4-star hotel. Nevertheless, the locarion was great with just a short walk into the city centre and next to a S-bahn station, just one stop from the main railway station.

This is a really nice hotel, in a building that is 100 years old this year. The beds are very comfortable, bathroom facilities are good, with a decent shaving mirror. The breakfast was good and was sufficient for me requiring a vegan menu, although would have liked vegan sausages, but the ham and salami substitutes made up for that. Sadly the area around the hotel has seen better times. The U-bahn station is opposite the hotel’s main entrance and the staircases and elevators stink of urine, and could do with a visit from the Cologne City Cleansing Department. It is also right next to Hansaring S-bahn Station which has connections to Cologne Hauptbahnhof, and other regional stations in the North Rhine-Westphalia region such as Dusseldorf, Aachen, and Koblenz which we visited using the hotel as a base to sleep and have breakfast. It is also less than 1 mile away from the Cologne Cathedral, which is a nice walk down quiet back streets.
This hotel is on the horizon right of the Cathedral with the word ‘Saturn’ on the top.

Check in was poor. Staff member took a call while checking me in and that call went on a long time. She didn't apologise [Check in 6.30pm Weds 22nd Oct 2025]. She seemed agitated by my being there and in no hurry to help. The worst Premiere Inn check in ever. Bathroom towels are thin and the hand towel was threadbare [I have photos]. The hotel reception is about 4 foot high and not suitable for someone using a wheelchair. Stunning historic building and several lifts from the ground level up. They have a ramp but as I say - you can't check in as reception is too high. Someone who need to come to the other side of counter. Very disappointing in a new hotel in 2025! Breakfast was good.

A nice hotel with large rooms, modern and very clean. Parking was easy enough (multi story car park right after the hotel) and you can enter the hotel directly from the car park too. Staff were friendly and spoke good English. 2 changes would make this 5 stars: 1. Beds were not that comfy (the ones in Dover were better) 2. Breakfast was very basic (bacon, powdered scrambled egg, sausages, beans). Needed hash browns/rostis plus no pancakes or waffles which we had at other hotels. Overall a pleasant experience.
