Went to pick up my best friend who works 2 weeks straight on a rig so all he wanted after his hitch was a hot tub and it was broke so I wish I wld of knew that b4 I paid that price for one night. Hotel and room was clean and beds were comfortable. Staff was great and very friendly.

Busy weekend at the BW Madisonville but as always they’ve got a great hotel with hardworking folks operating it. We always get a good nights rest, terrific breakfast and friendly service.

The hotel could benefit from a makeover, it was looking its age. However it was clean, the staff efficient and pleasant and the breakfast as good as any other BW hotel.

LIKE: 1. Property is in a good convenient location. 2. Housekeeping was good, did a nice job of maintaining the room (2-night stay) DIDN'T LIKE 1. Property is tired, not very well maintained, like they are loathe to spend money. 2. Breakfast on all counts was tasteless, Gravy for the biscuits was cold and tasteless, waffles were tasteless (how do you mess up a waffle) and not much variety. We went across the street to Buc-ee's after throwing away our food. 3. The problem in Madisonville TX is, that this is actually the nicest hotel available. The others are even dumpier, and we know. We've stayed in them. Eek!

Quality of the hotel is lower than its price. Check in was smooth and good, but that was about it. One of the lights in the room didn't turn on because there was no bulb attached. A peephole on the door shouldn't work from outside, but we could see inside the room from hallway side. It's not very secure. First, the room looked clean, but soon we found out it was pretty dusty. Desk and cabinet top were wiped, but not too well. Drink and food marks were here and there and we needed to clean them to put our things there. By our room number, there wasn't non-smoking sign like some other rooms. We requested non-smoking room because of one of us was allergic to that. Wanted to make sure, but syaff we asked wasn't very nice to talk(might be an owner) I think it was a non-smoking room, but it would be nice to have a sign as other rooms. Breakfast was ok. There is no OJ there, just apple and cranberry. At check in the lady said there were fruits, but there were no fruits, especially no bananas which was mentioned.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The staff was very friendly, and you could tell it was a regular lodging for some people after an Aggie football game. Liked the breakfast and yogurt machine! We will be back!
