This was our first time to the hotel. The pool is amazing! The restaurant had a variety of options to choose from. Getting transportation to the city center was really easy. The staff was very helpful and friendly, we will definitely stay here again.

The staff were unfriendly, also even if you are a guest you will not be allowed to eat ypur own food (snacks, small meals) by the pool. You will get treated like a criminal for doing so!

At first I thought the new rules were a little too much. For the pool towels, for the gym, etc. but by the second day I got used to and everything was just great. House keeping is the best I had experienced! Loved the details and kindness

The property is old, we have problems with the Internet and you cannot make local calls from your room, you have to go to the Front Office to be able to make a call even if it is a local call. The restaurant is in terrible condition, we only ordered lunch once and it took more than two hours to deliver it.

My recent stay at Hotel María Isabel in Colima was a pleasant and comfortable experience. While the rooms are simple and unpretentious, they are clean, well-maintained, and provide all the essentials for a good night’s rest. One of the highlights was the shower—excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water, making for a refreshing and enjoyable experience. It’s a small but important detail that the hotel gets right. The on-site restaurant is a convenient option, offering a variety of dishes without the need to venture far. The outdoor patio, surrounded by lush potted greenery, adds to the charm, creating a relaxed and inviting space. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a meal or coffee while soaking in the local atmosphere and people-watching. The hotel also features a swimming pool, which appeared clean and well-maintained, though I didn’t have the chance to use it. It’s a great perk for those looking to cool off and unwind. A standout aspect of my stay was the warm and accommodating staff. The employees were kind, attentive, and always willing to help, making the experience even more enjoyable. Their hospitality added a personal touch that made me feel welcome. Overall, Hotel María Isabel strikes a great balance between comfort, convenience, and atmosphere. It may not be a luxury stay, but it delivers where it counts—clean accommodations, thoughtful amenities, and genuinely friendly service. Solid choice!

When we arrived at 7 pm it is as we had not made any Booking..took them 30 min to give us the worst possible room at the very end of the parking lot (as we requested downstair my wife being slightly handicapped) This section looking abandoned, there was no lights in the lobby leading to the room, we had only one access electronic card.. so no cooling of room when we returned after " dinner" Bathroom terrible, no shower head support at normal height..only one small lavabo no place to guard toiletries etc.. Toilet was exceptionally low No handy extension to charge telephone , the only we found at floor level, going extinct when lights off..we woke up with empty batteries on our phones No handicap access to the restaurant, etc... in addition we were overcharged for two rooms we paid total of MX 3360 equivalent to US203.63 (rate 16.50) instead of confirmed rate of $190.44 This hotel is definitively not worth that price !!!! especially since the reception was making the least possible effort....FYI i come to this hotel since the earlier 1970 and speak perfect Spanish, so it was not a question of miscommunication. Sincerely Guy Posschelle A refund seems apprpriate .
