Not very happy

The room was clean and bathroom was nice heater wasnt easy to use so gave up and was cold and it was so loud due to windows not being sound prof And it was so cold the bed had a sheet and a polo fleace blanket on it and a spare blanket and thats it defanatly need too do better

When I arrived the man in the pokies said to book in at the service desk in the pokies. The women there said no go to bottle shop. When I asked when the pub opened I was informed that it was being renovated. I looked inside no renovations locals informed me that it has not been open still the first lock down in March last year. The only place you could get a drink was to sit in the bistro with the diners. On labour day the bar and bistro were closed so there was no service at all. The room was clean and the fittings were great as it had been renovated. The website pictures do not show what is really going on

Comfortable in Colac

Colac in a nice quiet town by a large lake. The Bistro had a huge and tasty US style Pork Ribs. Very genial Host

Cheap, adequate but very load on a weekend

Hotel was what I expected for the price, cheap and adequate. The staff in the bar where you check in we lovely and room was clean enough. The major problem was the noise level from the bar which started at 10pm and was nonstop until 3am, with the loadest music I've heard ever in a hotel.

If you want a bit of peace and quiet so you can sleep well don’t go here It was noisy I could here kitchen staff bang god knows what continually Another person staying had tv on all night. Could not sleep .

The room was quite small and noise from the nightclub downstairs made it hard to sleep. Room and ensuite had been renovated. Exterior staircase covered in bird poo and flyscreen on window was torn. Shared kitchen untidy.

Really nice place to stay.

My partner and I stayed at The Union Club Hotel for one night mid-week as David Strassman was in town! The man who served us and checked us in to our room was nice, and very helpful. The room itself was clean and modern, nice amenities however our mini bar fridge didn’t work which was unfortunate. Other than that, great place to stay in a good location. And the pub food was great too!

Be very close to worst place I have stayed in.

Very basic. Mould in the empty fridge. Band playing downstairs until early morning. The TV could not tune into any station. Its an old pub, maybe they have forgotten about the rooms or are to busy serving drinks & meals.

I needed a good nights sleep.There was a live bad playing down stairs the place stunk of cigarette smoke. Room was right on the street, main high way so heavy vehicles traveling through all night. Very un enjoyable

NOISE

This hotel manager needs to decide which way they want to go you either have guest to stay or you have head banging music all night. When you have travelled all day you expect a good nights sleep & to be able to relax in your room but not this place at 9 00 the music started so loud it vibrated thru the room to the point we couldn't hear the TV that music went at that volume until 2am both nights we were there. After the first night we tried to book somewhere else but there were no available rooms. I would never stay again & I'll tell anyone going to colac not to stay there. The rooms are quite ok & very nice revamps bathrooms but no use doing up accomodation when you have that noice to put up with NO SLEEP
