Vacations Close To Olympic View Golf Club

The good: Nice pool (hot tub jets don’t work tho) Rooms themselves were clean Some staff are nice Pet friendly (with a extra cost) The bad: Rats and drugs (a lot of rats in bushes around property - not in hotel - wife almost had a rat run into her) Unfortunately the hotel is located in a hot spot for homeless, needles seen at side of property, random homeless wandering around property and going in and out of lobby at times. I stayed over a week and this was a normal day to day not just a bad weekend or night. The hotel has security at night however it should be 24/7 and the hotel should be fenced in at the very least. Coffee was awful (colour was yellow to almost clear) No continental breakfast however there is a Denny’s next door that serves Denny’s quality food. Also surrounded by homeless. Hotel rooms are priced ok but still way more than it should for the area. 2 KM walk downtown (20 minutes maybe) but walking through bad parts of town. Do not recommend children leave the hotel. Did not feel safe.

We had a delightful stay. The staff was very helpful, and breakfast was outstanding.

We were charged more than we were originally quoted and the staff was unable to explain the difference in the charges. We were told to call back when the manager was in, 2 days later.

Really disappointed in the cleanliness here. If I hadn’t arrived late at night after a long travel day with a 4 year old, I would have left. The room carpet was sticky. The sheets on the bed were stained and in the morning when we woke up I noticed the duvet peaking out from between the sheets and it was a horrible shade of grey. The rooms are also very humid which is unfortunate.

Great modern and clean rooms, friendly staff, good location.

The only feedback I can give is that despite cancelling my booking within 30 minutes Expedia was not able to get any response from the hotel with regard to any type of refund. We were in a tough situation with a broken down car but apparently the hotel does not consider extenuating circumstances which is extremely disappointing

The lack of elevator makes it difficult for those with minor disability, such as bad knees. The toilet is in a separate room from the sink so you have to touch the handle before you wash your hands

Fantastic location & views. Lack of a restaurant a bit inconvenient but only 1/2 hour from Victoria. Great rooms & facilities.
