The staff were very attentive and willing to go the extra mile to accommodate the guests. We were a group of 11 persons and they did a great job making sure we were all enjoying our stay.
From the moment we arrived we were graciously welcomed by Marta. She showed us to our very comfortable cabin and told us about the tours to see the animals they are helping and when the meals provided would be served. We took a wonderful walk with Marta to see the different animals they are rescuing. We do not speak Spanish and she did a wonderful job trying to convey her message in English. After having a delicious dinner under an open air palapa, we were taken to see the Jaguar and puma being fed at night. It was an amazing experience and I highly recommend staying at Selva Teenek if you are in the area. Wonderful people, wonderful food, and wonderful accommodations!!
We had an unforgettable experience at Selva Teenek in Ciudad Valles! The staff were incredibly informative and enthusiastic, going out of their way to make our visit special. They gave us a personal tour, showing us all the animals and even allowing us to witness the night feeding of the jaguar and puma—a truly unique experience. The dedication and care they have for these animals is evident, and it’s inspiring to see a place so committed to animal welfare and conservation. On top of that, the food was excellent, and the professionalism of the entire team made the visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Ciudad Valles and Aguasteca Potosin!
Outstanding place in the rainforest just 5 minutes drive from the Micos waterfalls. Very pleasant and attentive staff. Breakfast and dinner was included in our package. The rooms are very clean and air-conditioned. We were 1.5 hours one way drive from Tamul waterfalls and 1 hour one way from Minas Viejas waterfalls. We stayed 5 nights and really enjoyed ourselves. Note that there is no kitchen or microwave inside the rooms
So do not bring any perishable items that require refrigeration. Bring non perishable snacks. Water is provided. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!
Overpriced for what you get.
The staff were mostly trainees and didn’t really have service etiquette and communication was a problem. We had a terrible time with the food even though they did a good job in accommodating for a special diet in our group. Even getting hot water in our shower was never solved. We understand that having trainees is more cost efficient for them, but they should definitely provide better support for the staff so the guest get at least decent service during their stay.
