The hotel was nice and clean and the room was very nice. However there was a $100 deposit at the time of check in which was never mentioned before hand. The location is not very quiet. Between the train and busy street traffic and noise, which lasted pretty much all night, it was hard to get a good rest.

The hotel itself was great and close by to restaurants. However, the room we had smelled very bad every time we entered. It was a wet carpet/moldy/urine smell each time. We tried using our own body spray to help with the smell, however that only worked to mask the smell for a short time. The shower kept leaking the whole time, even since we first arrived. We only stayed here for a few days, however this should be fixed. The $26 breakfast credit was not very clear and we thought it was each day. If we had known that ahead of time we would have ate breakfast somewhere else because we thought it was included.

This was a great experience overall. The staff were nice and very hospitable. Any questions my boyfriend and I had or accommodations, they would be happy to help. We felt safe and comfortable staying here. We enjoyed how close we were to downtown SD, the beach, and food places. Parking is included and super easy. Overall we recommend staying here for anyone wanting to have a nice, relaxing experience!

The room was updated and clean and the staff very helpful. We slept in so didn't have breakfast. There was a plumbing issue with the sink but it resolved itself. Staff was apologetic and helpful nonetheless. Near the freeway and many places to eat nearby.

Good place to stay. However… the actual location to an unsuspecting person will be off putting. The area is known for seedy individuals and the 7-eleven next door has been robbed a lot in the past. None the less the property is clean, well kept/maintained, staff 9-10 (had to wait a bit to check out) staff was solo, doing morning routine stuff. Overall I’d give this establishment a cool 7-10 only because of location
