“Not sure where the rating comes from but not my idea of a 4 star hotel ! Whilst the size of the room was very generous , no bottled water or enough toiletries for 2 people . The Spa was not particularly clean , a cold Jacuzzi with many missing tiles . Treatment seemed to be cut short of the 25 mins paid for . Afternoon tea was a huge disappointment , again the area looked liked it needed a good clean ! Disappointing that this was due to be a weekend with family at didnt quite turn out as...

“Room cleanliness ”

“The hotel is not in Oxford, is actually 30 minutes drive from the actual city and just a few rooms have air conditioning. If you plan to come during summer, the rooms are quite hot.”

“Sadly, our check in experience was not good. We waited a long time to check in and the key didn't work on two occasions and so we were left waiting in a very hot corridor outside the room. Once in the room, it really needs a refresh, cracks in the walls and a window sill which needs filling and painting. It was an extremely hot day/evening and there is no AC, a fan on a stand was provided however all the sockets are at low level and under/behind furniture and so we had to crawl around (at...
